Damnnnnnn! this film lives up to my dreams of seeing an Evangelion movie.

But without the teenage angst and unnecessary sexual tension.

Just Jap style monsters fighting mecha-soldiers.

Jaegar means hunter in German. I was always interested in the Japanese peoples infatuation with Germans in their animations. No doubt it has WWII ties.

Regardless this film is del Toro's answer to old school anime.

Can't wait.

Somehow people are more interested in seeing Grown Ups 2 then this in the U.S.

According to Variety, "disappointing" early tracking data shows that Sony's comedy sequel starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade is currently outpacing Warners and Legendary's monsters vs. robots pic. Both movies open the same weekend.

^ Calm down, man. Maybe people are finally realizing that Michael Bay-esque crap is getting old. But honestly, I'm not sure how they would have such data. There's a lot of hype surrounding this movie, especially on internet boards like this one. Hell, I had never even heard of Grown Ups until just a month or so ago.. and now there's a sequel?

Same i didn't even know there was a sequel to Grown Up's 2 on the way.....not that i would see it
