do i hate wolverine? i used to love him. i hate what he's become, much the same way i hate what thanos (another character i used to love) has become. "no force in the cosmos????" that is gratuitous and non-sensical. logan doesn't need those kinds of statements. never has. srank mentioned valuable intellectual property. fact is, llogan is among those most valuables pieces and THAT is what has ruined the charater for me.

Ha ha ha ha ha

Just when I think I can't handle any more of the rampant ignorance and stupidity, someone speaks and adds more hilarity to the thread.

One them might be the lunatic who legitimately believes in Norse mythology (theology?) as their religion. I know there is at least one poster on KMC who does, but I forget who.

well, it could just be that gladiator hasn't come across more powerful foes...hence that statement may not be as impressive as it seems

Gladiator has fought Ego and Tyrant, are you claiming that they're less powerful?

yeah, could be, but i find that possibility to be essentially non-existent given the history of the shi'ar.

lol you got me there.

but you know comics is always full of hyperbole

everytime superman gets hit by a new villain, it becomes 'the hardest he's ever been hit'

you know the drill

To be fair, it was the Shiar Imperial Guard, and all of them not named Gladiator suck. Wolverine's beat like half of them on his own.

The Imperial Guard were created to fight a rogue Phoenix. Just saying.

Recently it was said that the name of Wolverine was even whispered in Olympus or something, how can the writer expect us to take that seriously? Is he afraid we won't think that he's an awesome character if he doesn't throw in something so forced? These kind of statements are unnecessary and stretch my suspension of disbelief. Same goes for Midnighter. It's like because they have such limited power sets, every once in a while a writer has to remind us that they're "formidable".

It very rarely happens for any character on such a level but it's annoying.

They probably didn't send fodder like Suit-full-of-gas Man after the Phoenix. lol

He is an essentially immortal damage soak sponge that has the means to kill any character who can be killed via conventional means. It's hardly a stretch to think Olympians might consider him to be a dangerous opponent.

It's a very huge stretch. Especially based on the arrogance of Olympians and that someone like Zeus was hanging around.

All of the Olympians are immortals who can be revived even if they're atomized. Logan who?

Because if you remember you Greek mythology, the gods were never worried or concerned with the actions of none gods. dur

When Zeus isn't turning into animals then banging chicks, he spends his days thinking about how to avoid Wolverine so he doesn't get his ass kicked. 😎

For the most part, they weren't unless the person was pissing them off.

They weren't worried about a mortal harming them, more often it was about a mortal they liked being harmed that worred them.

Mythology? Lawlz.

Unless Wolverine is secretly a worshiper of the Olympians, they shouldn't know who he is. They'll participate with beings they favor but that's about it.

Alright, he just strikes the ground so hard, everything in a few miles is destroyed.

After a quick search, I found these scans but I was thinking of another scene:

It might have been Claremont era. Not 100% sure if it was Gladiator or not but Logan was put into orbit or something like that.

Either way, Gladiator can definitely knock out Logan.

I've never seen this. What issue is it?

I recall you mentioning something about logan being referred to as the left hand of god iirc. that could potentially have implications regarding why he is taken more seriously by asgardians & olympians.

God jacks off with Logan.
