In an interview with Gamespot at the EB Expo in Australia, SuperBot’s Omar Kendall talked about the possibility of Crash Bandicoot being in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale.

Here’s what he said:

“We obviously know at SuperBot and at Sony how important various characters are to the game, Crash Bandicoot in particular. We got this question at San Diego Comic Con and my president, Chan Park, gave a very good answer: ‘It takes two to tangle’. We know the fans want Crash. We want Crash. Crash is not owned by Sony. So it is a negotiation between Sony and the IP holders for all of the characters that exist in the game. We’re very interested in making that happen but it’s not for free. I do want the fans out there to know that obviously we recognized the interest in Crash and characters like Crash.”

Currently, Crash Bandicoot is owned by Activision. There are other non-Sony characters in the game such as Big Daddy from BioShock and Heihachi from the Tekken series. By the sounds of that, it appears as if Activision may be asking a high price for Sony to use Crash Bandicoot in the game.

Talking about DLC, he said if fans support the game enough, there will definitely be DLC for the game. So far, it has been confirmed the game will launch with 20 characters.

I hate Activision.

I don't mind DLC for this game, as it's definitely missing some important characters.

I remember back when Brawl was about to be released, people kept throwing around the idea of DLC for that game.

There's no way I'm against that same thing for this game.

Hmm...maybe those characters will get moved to DLC (which I wouldn't mind).

It still irritates me when they said Crash would never be DLC and yet he will be. I guess Superbot was highly determined Activision would come to it's senses before the game's release. Oh how wrong they were. Anyways, Crash and Spyro aside, I hope we get Cloud, Ari & Stan, Ultra V, Chimera Hybrid, Dart, Old Snake, Chell and Wander as DLC.

Sure, but I was hoping for lesser character like Ridley and Geno to be in DLC. If the next SSB doesn't have some of the main characters such as Mario, Link, or Pikachu in the initial release and instead have them as paid DLC, I'm gonna be pissed and likely boycot the game.

So if PS:AS had Crash and Spyro in at release and instead had characters like Fat Princess and Radec as DLC I'd be fine with it. But instead these major characters aren't going to be in the game and it's ridiculous.

Well, you can't overlook the fact that they're still 3rd party characters so they're not gonna be as easy to get in as Sony's characters.

But characters like them are definitely worth the purchase. But then again, they could end up being free.

Come to think of it, it's a little suspicious how even Square Enix has been dodging questions about the absence of such anticipated characters like Cloud.

The December issue of Playstation: The Official Magazine has revealed tons of brand new details about SuperBot's upcoming fighting game Playstation All Stars Battle Royale.

The magazine confirmed two new rivalries, first one is of "Big Daddy and Sackboy", and this rivalry is due to Big Daady "flies into a rage when his Little Sister decides Sackboy is cuter than he is". The second rivalry confirmed by PTOM is between kratos and Sweet Tooth, however no reason was mention about this.

These rivalries are all wrong. It's should've been Kratos versus Parappa because who doesn't want to see Kratos get annoyed by rap?

Nathan Drake versus Sweet Tooth because Uncharted's protagonist has coulrophobia. This would've been a humorous trial to overcome his fears. How could you have missed this, Superbot?! haermm

Big Daddy versus...actually, Sackboy kinda works especially when it involves the Little Sister.

About Playstation All Stars Battle Royale Final Boss, the magazine revealed that it will be someone ”instantly recognizable to old-school PSone fans.”

The game's actually pretty good although I have to say: Parappa and Radec are perhaps the most annoying characters in the roster. Anyone using Parappa can get to his Level 3 Super the fastest by repeatedly abusing his chopping skills while Radec players keep spamming the same long range attack over and over.

I'm hearing people saying Kratos is OP too.

The game seems like it'll be easy for people to play like assholes.

I am just now downloading it. I wanna try it.
