So I watched it again on blu-ray just to see if I still felt my negative opinions were still justified, in my mind.
Seriously Nolan really screwed this puppy when it came to story-telling...the dude has no concept whatsoever when it comes to time.
The scene where they load the bomb in the back of the truck, the camera zooms in to the timer & the count down shows 52 hours & 32 minutes. The very next scene is Bruce in the pit about to get strung up & have that spinal vertebrae of his punched in....
Soooo within 52 hours, Bruce gets healed & makes 3 attempts to climb out of the pit. These 3 attempts must've been in the same morning, minutes, hours apart....
Then that nagging question of how Bruce gets back to Gotham....still within 52 hours counting down. Enough time to give Selina her "chance to change her ways" speech, enough time to pretend to be caught just to see Miranda, rescue Gordon, organise a flaming bat symbol & rescue Blake from some goons.
And let's not forget the stock-exchange scene also. Bane breaks in at noon. Lunch time is implied because one of the henchmen is delivering sandwiches....followed by the bike escape & Bats joining chase that ends late at night....man, that's at least a minimum of 7 hours racing through the streets of Gotham.
Sorry Batfolk, I still have little respect for this movie & Nolan's attempt at story telling.
