Can Thor Respond To A Speedblitz?

Thor can most DEFINITELY respond to a speed blitz.

Getting KOed is a response. 😛

Can Thor Respond To A Speedblitz? After getting clocked a few times.

Maybe. mhmm

If a speedblitz doesn't seem to do any good, but the single punch following does, maybe it's because the speedblitz first softened the target up.

Well, logically a measured punch is always stronger than a combo.

The eternal debate, is whether Superman is so much faster than Thor that from his point of view, he's measuring every punch. Basically what looks like a blitz to us is a series of haymakers.

This.

The debate is how big a gap is there in reflexes between the two.

Is it enough to give Superman enough time to load up on every shot and still unload a flurry that can't be countered?

I think so, I hold Superman's physical speed and reflexes far above Thor's for the simple fact its a part of him explicitly, and it is demonstrated consistently, whereas Thor is not consistent.

Again, Superman is the kind of guy that can and has rebuilt a city in seconds. That's ridiculous.

Correction to this. Superman reflexes are far above Thors but he was amped by blue knite when he built that city.

Prove that he was amped.

This Superman city building feat is news to me.

Is it a recent feat? Any idea what comic it happened in?

And by how much he was amped.

Because lets understand this here, even if his speed and reflexes were amped by a factor of one million (no way. no evidence for this) that is still far faster than Thor.

Building a city with your bare hands in 10 seconds. Is ridiculously above Thor.
Building a city with your bare hands in 115 days. (1 million times longer than 10 seconds) Is STILL ridiculously above Thor.

Are we talking about Bizarro World?

I know pre crisis, a blue sun amped Superman, and in the BW story he was gaining new powers.

Exactly. We don't know how much he was amped by or what type of powers he gainer while under this. It's a flawed ft since he WAS amped.

Looked back at the issues, and Jor El even tells him his existing powers would be amped.

You do know that Bizzaro was amped as well right? He was amped to the point that he built a planet with his telescopic vision.

Pretty much. I posted that scan a while back and had an ongoing debate with Pr. He was amped...don't know how much he was amped and it doesn't even matter since it wasn't a ft under "his own power". CDTM, I give you your props, you know your comics (even though I disagree with you 80 of the time).

Of course, but still, a blitz can hurt.

Well put. I am inclined to say Superman is fast enough, provided he can get in close for the infighting he does so well (plus, he does use HV at h2h range). Thor is fast enough though to set up an initial defense (this is all circumstance-dependent, naturally). But it better be good because he may not get a second chance.

That was highly ambiguous. All that we know is that a blue sun enables kryptonians to bestow kryptonian powers on humans. Thats it. It never stated anything about speed or durability or strength amps. Just a random power. Just one. If anyone wants to disprove this, then post scans. Otherwise the feat is valid imo.

Except its not because they clearly state that they have no clue how the blue sun will effect him.

He obviously gained an amp therefore anything done under those conditions become invalid unless Superman has demonstrated a similar feat not under a blue sun.

So translation: "It says nowhere in the comic that his physical stats were amped, just that he can give Jonathan Kent powers with blue beams that come out of his eyes." Okay, I understand.

Golden Age Superman (Earth-two Superman), created a vast underground city in moments.

And didn't mainstream Supes have a clash with Earth-two Supes?

He was amped...we don't know what type of amped he received under these conditions...what we do know is, he was amped. The ft becomes invalid since we didn't receive a dictionary on what type of new changes came towards his physical stats.
