No Fairy Tail this week

I'm assuming the manga are on hold since it's the holidays?

Pretty much.

There was Fairy Tail a few days ago (so, like, easy win), but we shouldn't expect anything else.

Correction: I was wrong. Translation was just delayed a bit.

Yea. It was one panel. It's not like he's arrived. And besides the NaruHina, Bee shoved a Biju Ball into someone's mouth.

Stuff happening now trumps foreshadowing.

Naruto had a strong chapter this week. It really fleshed out the characters and conflict, had great emotion and had good action from Bee.

Plus, Chiyo was in it.

And it's not like Naruto has actually started fighting again either.

I'm just saying DoFlamingo entering the fray is way more exciting.

And One Piece had Law tricking Caesar to take out Monet, saving the island, and the battle between Franky and Baby 5/Buffalo.

Vinland Saga's picking up. Still not used to seeing Calnute look like a dude but its cool all the same.

Wow, when you see Aura defending OP over Naruto then people are really... Wow.

All that said, the Naruto chapter wasn't all that bad, but it was too slow for my taste. Lots of energy in order to build dramatic tension which felt kind of ruined by Hinata's internal monologue. I mean, I don't really mind Hinata's weird Naruto fantasies, but they kind of felt off place after all that weird moment with Naruto feeling defeat and everything. The action in the chapter came as an afterthought, I'm surprised of people bringing it up. Far from a week chapter -the past month had some sh_tty ones-, but not all that much happened.

In OP the plot finally started to pay off, Law actually did something cool instead of just something overpowered. Don Flamingo got character development, there was some action with Franky and Zoro slashed rocks!!!!!111

Well actually it's because I haven't enjoyed Punk Hazzard on the whole more than anything else. I just go with my feelings man, dunno what else to do. ._.

And no chapters from Shounen Jump until the *third* week of January. This'll be rough.

On the bright side, Fairy Tail's chapter was pretty awesome 🙂

Diamond US sales numbers for direct-market manga (i.e. who sell to comic stores and the like, so only part of the pie, not bookstories).

Sailor Moon and Naruto really dominate, in that their volumes take up the top 12 slots before anything else shows up.

I liked Bleach more than OP but not a lot actually happened except the reveal of Asauchi and the beginning of a fight.
