Swamp Thing is one of the only characters I'll adamantly press issues with in vs. threads--but anymore, he doesn't really need the help. Most now realize how powerful he is (he used to be exceedingly underrated, though.) Geo Force and Amethyst are others I'll defend when possible.

The new Nova, Sam, has a pretty good speed feat all ready going by the preview of AvX 1. He exits a stargate well outside of the milkyway galaxy and then flies the rest of the way to Earth in about 9 panels. It may be better then anything Rich Rider has ever done in terms of raw travel speed and distance.
