You can argue it gives him better control... but dubious... nah not at all. Answer me this, if it does NOTHING for Odin why have it at all or bring it out? You wouldn't as that makes no logical sense. It clearly helps him control and channel his energy better. I thought this was clear as pie.

You're a tool.. the onus is you to prove he DIDN'T NEED IT. He PULLED IT OUT.. Thus that actions leads one to believe he felt like he needed to end the fight right then and there. Which is backed up by narration. His action of pulling out the weapon speaks more towards needing it than not. What is your proof he didn't need it that contradicts him ACTUALLY pulling it out.

this is different, we see odin using his power each time increasing it and only slightly being able to effect thanos, then he pulls out his trident and suddenly he is able to cause real damage to thanos, only someone with no brains at all wont realise that he pulled the trident in order to increase his power output as was portrayed on panel.
prove that the trident DOESNT increase his power output? show me odin pulling out his trident randomly without any reason when was the last time he used it? show me
You asking me a question doesn't take the onus away from you. Try again. Prove he didn't need the weapon since he pulled it out and said he was going to end the fight with it... Then after you prove your onus... prove that it does nothing for Odin.. if it does nothing why pull it out at all? Clearly it helps him in one way or another or it would be totally and completely useless.

no, i am saying that if he cant harm thanos and cant end the fight and THEN he pulls out a weapon and suddenly able to effect thanos that means he pulled out the trident in order to increase his attack as was portrayed on panel, now prove he likes to pull out his trident just for fun without needing it

He was able to increase his power output enough effect Thanos before pulling out Gungir, there is no proof that the continuing increase was because of Gungir and not him just channeling more power.
