USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (LIGHT SIDE)- Missing Links

Is it possible that those kinds of things can be jammed from our sensors due to Lennah being a techno wiz?

The alternative is that we've missed something else which would be bothersome.

Well, 'possible' can be a speculative term, but it's not outside your imagination. You'd imagine he'd have to be running relatively quietly; he couldn't send out messages and stay hidden.

Which would make sense since he only gets in touch with his company once every few months. Although whether he talks to other people regularly is unknown, but I it's fairly unlikely.

I'm toying with the idea of just broadcasting a greeting on an open channel and see what happens. But for now conventional stuff.

Lennah keeps his own ship here so he must have someway of landing safely in the swamp... Are we able to make scans from our ships to find acceptable landing sites?

Well, there are several, but that certainly narrows things down a lot!

Awesome! Along similar lines of thought, do we know the size of Lennah's ship? Eliminate sites that are too small to accommodate it if it's a larger ship.

You'd guess it's probably a small ship, so you'd hesitate to rule anything out.

"Maybe we should just approach and land," Gallagher says.

"Land where though? That's the thing," Wentar responds over the comms.

More ideas to cut down possibilities. He needs to have good reception for the holonet, so things like vallys that interfere with that should be cut out.

Also we can eliminate any colder areas of the planet.

We can't base it off of weather too much, as far as reception is concerned. Unless we can tell if a region is typically stormy.

"Yeah, I'm not landing blind," Xeth says. "We need to know where we should land."

Any of the sopts near a water source... preferably a lake?

Nice thinking in general, but being a swamp world there is water all over the place; he'd just need a purification system.

Indeed, a blind landing is no good at all.

Ah! Okay then, can we tell the kind of terrain for each of these locations? Eg. One is on a mountain, another in a valley, one in a depression below sea level ect?

Pretty much just swampland, with various degrees of vegetative canopy.

If it is all swampland, he would need to build whatever his dwelling is on stable land. He doesn't want to sink into the swamp while he's sleeping.

Would the Force give us a general idea of where he might be, once we have narrowed it down some?

Probably hard to determine that with so much down there.

i'm still around btw. Sorry I've not been around to help w/ things.

Rio Rast doesn't like swamps though. Too easy to get lost or stumble into a trap.

I don't think he'll be in thick vegetation, because of how difficult it would be to set up a high tech dwelling and signal interference.

At the same time I don't think it will be out in the open. It seems unlikely that there will be caves.

We also need to land close to his place once we locate it. We don't want to go marching through swamps. Considering what Rio pointed out (also hi Rio).

Having just played the Force card to get here, I'll rule at this point that the Force is telling you that you are in the right place but it's not going to nail it down for you.

As for getting lost or trapped in swamps- well yes indeed, though there you could make Force rolls. Jedi have edges in such situations.

Xeth- yes indeed, he'd need somewhere stable, but only a very small amount, unless he's living in a vast town-sized mansion. Looking for good ground is more likely to help you search after you land.

Vera is right; out in the open seems unlikely.

Well, at this point you have enough info to just start canvassing the more likely areas on the planet and seeing what you find. However, time is your enemy in this game. The better you can narrow it, the quicker your search is.
