"I was always taught that it was a tool, has the curriculum change since then?"

I don't suppose there's a light switch we can just flick on?

Yea, I agree with not going in Sabers blazing.
Lets look for a light.
I don't suppose we brought flashlights...

"I was always taught that it was a tool, has the curriculum change since then?"

"When someone sees Jedi with ignited lightsabres, they realise we are not only guardians of the peace but can go into... agressive negotiations. They will not hesistate to shoot us if we have our weapons, or tools, drawn out."

There is no control for the lights; they must be centrally activated.

There is some light in here though- the light of monitors. Dozens of them. There is a control complex at the far side where a chair sits facing these many monitor bank, each of which is rapidly shifting between different bits of information. The glow from the monitors, therefore, is rapidly shifting also, making the interior here a place of malleable gloom. Sometimes the monitors display something bight for a moment, briefly illuminating the room.

No this isn't creepy at all...

Can we tell if the chair occupied or not?

It's a fairly large chair, facing the screen, but from here you can see a hand and forearm on the right armrest.

Denzral will quietly enter the room. "Weird." He'll say quietly, mostly to himself.

Are there any odd smells?

Nope.

Wentar cautiously follows, this place gives him the creeps.

"Excuse me, are you Mr Lennah?" Wentar asks tentatively, slowly approaching the chair.

-

Are there door ways leading the from the room? Is there anything else in here?

... What does Wentar sense from the person in the chair?

"I am Jedi Knight Denzral Vassisk, those with me are..." Denzral will introduce those that have entered thus far as he and Wentar approach the chair. "Are you okay, sir?" He will quietly whisper to Wentar as they get closer; "you ever et that creepy zombie feeling?"

"I've been in pirate lairs that have felt less creepy then this," Wentar admits, whispering back to Denzral.

You still aren't sure what you sense, Wentar. The rest of the base is just basic living functions.

There is the occasional muted burst of sound as you approach, step by step. The sound, in synch with what is on the monitors, is coming through headphones that the figure in the chair is wearing.

There is no answer as you get to the rear of the chair.

Now that we are closer, how does that hand look?

Denzral will peer around slightly to get half a look at the guys face.

Oh dammit! So much for not freaking him out. Is there a way we can turn off his computers to get his attention? I feel it we just tap him on the shoulder he'll freak hard.

Edit: Also yeah, can we tell if he's alive?

-

Wentar glances at Denzral, and mimes tapping Lennah(?) on the shoulder before giving him a questioning look as if to say 'What do ya reckon?'

Xeth nods to Wentar; unless one of us can remotely send a message to him from where we are so that it shows up on his screens, it's going to be the only way to get his attention.

Denzral shrugs. Then looks for the light controls. Turning on the lights should get his attention.

You know, out of hindsight, maybe we should have checked for security cameras out side. Standing in front of one could have gotten his attention.

The control panel looks very complex and will take time to work with; there is no giant button marked 'lights'.

Taking a step closer, Denz can see more; the side of a pale face, barely illuminated by the monitors.

The monitors are not showing any sort of security camera footage.

So there's no off switch for the computers and no way we can somehow get a message on his screen?

If there isn't then Wentar will slowly reach over and tap him on the shoulder to get his attention. He's holding his breath for some reason, this place and the weird inability to place his senses is spooky.

"Turn the chair around, let's see him. He must be dead, or Gallagher would have felt him by now. Besides, what music could he be listening to that would let a squad of Jedi get this close without noticing." a pause, a small uncharacteristic grin, "Or he has nerves of steel and has a blaster in his lap for the first Jedi to touch him. Who told me to put my saber away?"
