The headphones? Or what the computer screens are showing? Jelena can check on both of these things.

Yes, the blaring monitors of constant stuff! They might have been showing the countdown for the Syphar n Kalar activation for all you paid attention to thwm!

So the Syphar N Kalar has to be activated, is that what you're saying?

Anyway Vera-Kin is not sure she has seen anything quite like this in all her time abroad. She doesn't think he plugged himself in like this; he had help, though she is not sure who.

What is playing on the monitors?

Oops.

Jelena will examine what is splashing across the multitude of computer screens then. She has an idea of what she might be looking at it based on how quickly things are flitting about when they walked in to Lennah's home. She checks to be sure.

It's actually tremendously boring- it's a constant deluge of business information from al over the galaxy.

What would he want with this if he is, for all intensive purposes, dead?

Fair question, so something must be wrong with the premises on which you ask it.

Either I need to change it to past tense- what did he want with it while he was alive and awake?- or he isn't actually as dead as we think he is.

Are there any Matrix-style brain jacks in his set-up?

Actually they are several other premises involved with your question.

Nope, nothing like that.

I'm a little confused by that. Premises being my perceptions?

Assuming that
1) HE wants that, and it wasn't set up for him by someone else
2) That he's actually dead.

Well Jelena mentioned the second, but yes, you started with the assumption that he wanted it.

Whoever wired him in like that might have also set up what is on the screens, then. Or maybe they would have had to. Can we tell if he could even reach the controls from his seat? Or can Jelena check to see what the last activity on the console was?

Well, he would have been able to reach the controls if the support mechanism wasn't keeping him restrained.

You can indeed check the activity logs... but it will take time. The system is secure.

So he definitely would not have been able to access the computer from where he is. Maybe at some point, but not now.

Is there any quick way to check on that? See if we can fingerprint it or see any other signs of people being present. I can't imagine that whoever left him like this hasn't checked on him.

If anyone did use it, there are no physical signs.

An astromech droid would have been useful for this, wouldn't it have?

In some respects.

Ok, well I will get on checking the logs. Even if it takes time, its useful. But if I can turn the lights on first, I will do that, then look at the logs.

In the meantime we should also take a detailed look around the place, to see if there are any other clues.

So, what I think we need to do is establish a few things.
1) Who did this to Lennah? Was this a voluntary decision, or one forced upon him?
2) What is his specific life status, he's basically dead, but not really... Can he communicate in any way?
3)What is he actually doing at the computer? Besides just looking at these business screens... Is there any pattern there?
4) The headphones, Someone should take a listen to them.

I think we should let the padawans poke around a bit, and see if they find anything in the rest of the base. (They need to get some experience doing this clue-gathering kinda stuff, and it lets us work on other things)

Anything else?

Gallagher will instruct D'an to gather the other Padawans and organize a search of Lennah's base.

"We want to know how many rooms there are, and if there is anything of interest," Gallagher instructs his student.

Gallagher is reluctant to take off Lennah's headphones...
