Keep if we can, send him off if we can't.

And Rio, that's thinking like a Renegade (in regards to your paranoia about the station). Good going.

"The only way to bring him to reason," says Thule, "is not to engage with him on his own grounds. You've already ruined that!"

"That being the case, how do you recommend we proceed?" Jelena asks. "I would prefer to have your expertise and assistance with Saar, but so far he has been unyielding regarding your presence."

"We do have something to bargain with now," Xeth says. "We could take away the media installation we agreed to put in his room. He's given us something that we have control over."

I do think we might have the opportunity to make some inroads with Thule.
Xeth and I, at least have some firsthand knowledge of the workings of Dark Jedi, what their social group dynamic is like, and things like that. These might be valuable to Thule and his research. I'm not saying we bargain with these, but that we use them to make him like us more.

When we get a chance, I'd like to have a bit of a conversation with Thule.
"Doctor, I know we might have gotten off on the wrong foot, barging in, and disrupting your treatment and study, but I feel that I must add that I do respect your work immensely. My friend Xeth and I have had some personal dealings with not only Saar, but with the group of Dark Jedi that he worked with, and I must say, the social dynamic, and the fundamental mentality that they operated under was fascinating, if not equally horrifying. What sort of conclusions have you been able to reach from your study of Saar?"

"I don't have time to talk to amateurs about my research. You can read my papers, if you decide to undertake serious study in this area."

That was harsh maaan...

Denzral is slightly taken aback by that.

It might be something we should actually do. New skill opportunity?!

"Perhaps later, when there are less pressing issues," Jelena says.

How does he respond to what Jelena said before this?

Andro bristles at Thule's dismissal. He almost opens his mouth to explain the difference between amateur researchers and those who have fought the Dark Side, have been flung about by it, buried under rouble by it, taunted and manipulated by it, matched wits and lightsabers with it. But Andro knows that Thule must be handled with care or the mission could be in jeopardy.

Instead, he settles for thinking, Amateurs, indeed... Seinar would have had a field day with you.

Gallagher is likewise irritated and probably exchanges a look with Andro over Thule's comment.

If you had just spent a tenth of the time I did with Sienar, you'd be singing a different tune.

Wentar frowns.

"Doctor Thule, please, we are only asking for your help, not just for our sake but so that it's easier on you and your work too. I know you feel we're stopping you from doing that work but understand that we too are only trying to do our jobs."

I'm starting to suspect that Thule might spend too much time around Saar, Dark Side negatively effecting emotions thus Thule being this... abrasive.

I want to try Scan him, see how he's feeling at the moment. No force points spent.

Oddly enough I had just thought about that, thinking of Sienar's associates. I mean, Saar has had plenty of time to just sit up here and talk to Thule.

Aurel remains silent, his body language acknowledging his surprise at the doctor's audacious comment in the form of a raised eyebrow vanishing into his bangs momentarily. He thought he saw some of the other Jedi react or exchange glances as well, and wonders if they were as affronted by the insult as he was while listening to Wentar's patient reply.

(That's actually a very disturbing, very plausible sounding thought, Thule 'soaking' up Dark Side emotions. I think that Scan is a very good idea. Gallagher might want to try his skills at it too, if Wentar thinks there's something deeper than what he can scan.)

I agree.
I think a force point spend here would actually be a good idea.
We've established that something fishy is going on here already, so its not totally out of the park.
However, we are all up in Thule's business and he's been pissed at us before....

Hmmm, alright then, I'll take Tptmanno's advice and drop a force point into the scan.

Well, that's a Force point wasted. You're not getting anything other than irritation and frustration from him.

So he's just an arrogant prick psychoanalyst, then? Wonderful. Well, while the others are discussing and debating how to handle the good doctor, I think I'll take a closer look at Saar's residence, since this is my first time up here. Maybe an Observation roll just to get a gathering of the cell, and what bit of media currently has the Dark Jedi's attention.

___________

Aurel quietly steps away from the doctor and other Jedi, moving closer to the window into Saar's cell. He looks around at the interior with a small bit of curiosity, before letting his eyes fall on the Dark Jedi himself and then the screen that seemed to have his attention.

It seems we'll have to crawl on our knees to get acces to Saar while being hammered about how an annoyance we are.
