"Well pick a direction and lets go, or should we split up?"

Iffa will examine the artefact/mound. IS there any evidence of an opening?
How big is it?
Has the team identfied or ruled anything out?

They found an area which looked like it had been cut through before, but it had been repaired. There's a way in now as they just sabred through it.

Vera-Kin reaches out with her senses to see if this place gives her any uncomfortable feelings to be aware of. She tells everyone to stay together for now.

You've not been comfortable since you started coming downwards. This place is a reminder of dark days, long forgotten and best left that way.

Aurel isn't the most adept at sensing, but perhaps taking a moment to listen to his Intuition couldn't hurt?

_____________

Aurel remains in a middle area of the group, the best to allow his glowrod to illuminate everything around them that the lightsabers could not reveal. His free hand stayed at the ready, prepared to draw his own at a moment's notice.

"No sense standing around," Wentar says, trying to peer into the blackness. "There's no telling what we may find down here so may as well get a move on and see what we can see."

And now, I feel like taking a brief initiative! 😆

_______________

"Please," Aurel chimes in while already moving towards the front of the grouping, the glowrod's illumination pushing back the shadow, "allow me to take the lead. It should give us a better sense of what lies ahead."

A metal floor is particularly loud when there are no other sounds. The group of you clatter down the corridor with the thundering of the great armies of old.

Finally, though, a detail on the walls. Writing, in fact, and a lot of it- but not in a modern language.

Is that something that Jelena could try analyzing briefly? Not spending much time on it, just taking a glimpse. She will start on the basis that it might be an ancestor of the native Alambrite language, but she has a better idea that it might be of the ancient Sith tongue.

"I wonder what that says," Xeth says, though he does not stop to check, knowing that it is not his forte. "Jelena, anything?"

Denzral will attempt to read it as best he can, stopping as they pass it, and using his sabre to better illuminate the wall.

Languages 2.

Jelena is certainly the expert here... and moreover, expert enough to know that a single 'Sith tongue' is a vague concept to apply to all of history, and also that any language related to the Sith would likely have been kept to the Sith, and hence was useless for general use in the galaxy as no-one would have understood it.

In fact, only one symbol here is decisively Sith in nature- the emblem of Darth Kazan at the bottom. The rest is an old outer rim variant once widely spoken on the fringes, which the Sith invaders brought with them at this time.

It basically reads that unauthorised personnel going any further won't live long. That'll; be because this is Darth Kazan's Central Command Bunker.

"Oh boy..." Denzral will whisper.

"Wouldn't you know..." Vera-Kin says. "I guess we're not going to live very much longer."

Vera-Kin is going to press on, certainly still on edge and wary of their surroundings, more so now that she knows what this place is. She wants to find out what Adelmo found, and wants to figure out what the source of danger is.

Would Iffa's Intrusion be of use here?

"Argo, be wary. We have no idea what's ahead, except that it will probably not be pleasant."

You can certainly imagine that Intrusion will be of help in here at some point, but it's still just an empty corridor thus far.

However, your intellectual sides are less sure about the fear. This place is dead. The war was over thousands of years ago. There's no Kazan-zombie in there to destroy all-comers, though that would be pretty cool.

That would be awesome!

"They just don't build secret underground bunkers like this anymore..."

Denzral will press on with the rest of the group, keeping his mind clear and focussing on his surroundings, senses alert to anything other than their footsteps.

Vera-Kin wouldn't mind giving the Kazombie a go...

"I still feel insecure," Vera-Kin says. "There may be some surprises left in this place. Maybe not something that Kazan left behind, but Adelmo, should anyone try to follow in her steps."
