Denzral will look for a control panel of some kind, or some sort of computer/data wiring, and attempt to hack in with his equipment and silence the alarms at the very least, if not then deactivate the response completely. If there is no access panel, finish cutting open the door. Are we sensing danger?
"Xeth, that wasn't exactly what I had in mind for opening the door!" Denzral will say over the alarms, and get to work.
Damn it, Denz, there are no control ports here at all- the walls are just smooth metal! There must be an access point somewhere, but it sure as heck isn't around here...
At this point, the panel by Xeth slides open, revealing a small, dark recess with no floor- some kind of grav chute. At this moment, an almost skeletal droid of dark grey metal shoots into view from underneath.
"Destroy," it intones, raising a blaster at you.
Xeth is not going to hesitate; his lightsaber already drawn, he makes a casual one-handed swipe at the droid's neck to sever its head.
"I HATE battle droids," Xeth snarls as the thing falls in a sparking heap.
(Better to prevent that one from shooting me in the head than waste time being careful with disabling it...)
Having cut the droid in two, you just make your comment about battle droids, Xeth, when your intuition saves you as you deflect a shot from below.
"Destroy," comments the top half of the droid, still active despite being in two pieces. Its gun is pointing up towards you.
Holy hell... these things are NOT like battle droids. They work in pieces... they were made in an age of Total War... by a Sith Lord trying to protect himself from an entire Republican army.
Well, we are rapidly approaching a combat situation here, so time for people to consider what weapons they have out and what schticks are loaded! Old hands, help out the new guys.
Special rule for this fight: When killed, there is a chance some segment of the droid may carry on functioning and keep bothering you. You'll see how that works! Segments can be attacked as normal.
Another special rule for this fight: The powers 'Cleave', 'Carnival of Carnage' and 'Whirling Strike' can be used with their appropriate weapons to overkill these droids into tiny pieces so they don't get up. An overkill requires you to roll twice as many successes as normal. You still kill the droid if you roll enough for a normal kill but not an overkill- however, going for an overkill deactivates the schtick's normal power. You must specify you are trying to do it in your action.
Oh! That sound is the sound of many thick bulkheads closing in that long entrance corridor you came down... that makes escape extremely difficult.
There are two ways to win this fight. It is up to you to work out either.
