USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (DARK SIDE)- Enemy

Well, indeed, the next step- indeed, the final major step in this episode- is for you guys to try and piece together everything you have.

You have a chance to rest up at Coruscant, not quite at a hospital but with medical facilities so you get a doubling on the available healing, plus everyone can heal 20 points of damage for the rest you get. Someone will need to calculate Medicine usage and all that.

And with that- thinking time! Let's get all the clues together and see what you guys can fathom out about what the hell is going on.

First off, Galder is incredibly angry that Merek gave up Larios Kuylen's name as our assailant. He was certain Adelmo pulled this off, especially hearing that Kara Katai showed up at the casino.

And apparently we have coordinates for where Kuylen called Merek from? What skills do we need to work on that?

That just needs time to sync it up with star charts- it's not any location you are aware of and it's a long way out.

Based off of Galder's probably limited knowledge of his old master, does any connection to Galen Merek make sense? Hell, does Ascar think that makes sense that Kuylen would've known the wealthy gambler?

We didn't get any technical data from Merrek did we?

We should check the coordinates and see if we can find any Sith or Jedi history for the area?

It does indeed sound like the sort of contact he used to make, yes. He moved a lot around shady circles like the gambling circuit.

With a Jedi Lore of 4 and a Savoir-Faire of 3, Rand knows nothing about the area of space those coordinates pinpoint? Or just that we haven't taken the time to look into it fully?

"We know he used Merek to try killing us," Rand says. "But the question is why?"

Nothing at all- as far as you know, nothing lives out there. The thing is, though, you only have co-ordinates. If you can work out what the place is, it might refer to somewhere you have heard if (but never knew where it was).

How would one go about figuring out the place those coordinates point to? Pilot Skill? Fix-It with a navigational computer?

Also why would Kuylen send Merrek to kill us instead of just dropping our location to the Bureau?

I mean I guess if Merrek killed us then he could always move back to the base if needed.

It's not actually difficult, it just takes a bit of time.

Alright Xavier can take some time to work on that. Also Xavier would like to talk about our communications being jammed when the Jedi turned up. He didn't get a chance to pinpoint it but it seems odd to him about the timing.

He probably sent someone else to do it because he doesn't want to show up in person. He's busy with his own work or last time didn't work out (maybe he tried to unseat Emperor Rivas so he could use that army to kill us...)

Also why was Merrek meeting with the Bureau!

Relle's thoughts there send daggers of fiery agony through Galder's soul.

That's not the Kuylen you knew. He only sent assassins after weaklings. Foes of note got his personal attention.

... to him, we're on the same level as Faylar and Persis!?

"I can't BELIEVE this!" Galder yells. "He didn't even consider the Syphar N Kalar a possibility! But that's the only reason he'd knock us out of the race, if he was in it to start! And probably long before us!"

"Ascar you seem to know Kuylen well. If he were contracting out an assassination would he normally contact someone like Merrek to put the operation together?" Xavier asks trying to get more information on the man.

"He must know that you're with us," Rand says to Galder. "I think our following his trail at Selene and Datura alerted him to us. Our broadcast in particular, killing Emperor Rivas."

Rand agrees with Xavier that perhaps telling the Bureau about our location through Merek was Kuylen's back-up plan if the Jovano team failed. That or Merek sought their help against both our group and Kuylen.

"How did Kuylen find you?" asks Ascar.

Relle continues her terrible thought process.

"Maybe Adelmo told him," Relle says. "I don't know how else he would've. He got the information from someone who knows already. You wouldn't have because you're helping us stop Adelmo, AND you don't trust Kuylen anyway, based on what Galder's told us. We're a gamble for you to work with, he's too much of an uncertainty for you. Even if you were in touch with him. Right?"
