I can agree with that. If Azarl's okay with that. Galder won't help Rand any more due to well-established rivalry.
"No," Galder says, sitting down. He has Kuylen's lightsaber in hand, contemplating it. "Kuylen wouldn't work with Adelmo. That's not his style. He leads, he doesn't follow."
Suddenly paranoid about the whole ordeal, Galder will inspect the lightsaber to make sure there is no tracking device inside it.
Rand will agree with Galder and Ascar.
"They may both seek the SnK but for their own motives," Rand says. "Not enough a common cause, and Briande's statements on Gonderkorro can put that to rest. Perhaps Kuylen seeks our demise because we've been in contact with Adelmo?"
Rand ponders how Kuylen could have found Epireus.
"What of Melkus Doon? They did business, as we know. Maybe Kuylen knew of his base of operations already. It's no secret we decimated the Golden Serpent. Kuylen could connect those dots."
Kuylen is strong but unfocussed. He followed intuitive Dreams to expose Sith secrets but he never had the full picture.
Remember even powerful Force users find it very hard to make precise locational findings with no clues. Even the Emperor and Vader couldn't locate the Rebels' base- though Vader knew he had found it as soon as a probe sent a vague picture- and Kuylen is not in their league when it comes to prediction and far sight.
It's a short list when it comes to those who know about Epireus. He had to have extracted the information from someone. None of us are spying for him, he couldn't sense us, I doubt he's broken our contacts and allies, Adelmo hates him and vice versa, Ascar has little to no reason to tell us, we've ruled out Doon...
Who else knows?
That you know of- you guys, Adelmo, junky mcjunk droid (but his programming makes it literally impossible for him to break customer confidence), those hunters, probably Merek before he died, Ascar.
"You see, we are faced with questions we can't answer either way," says Ascar. "If we say it is Kuylen, we cannot establish how he knew where you are. I maintain that your enemy must be connected to someone who already knows that. Of course, in that case, it would have to be someone you don't know at all- and the question becomes, how did you manage to get yourself wanted dead before you even met someone? You're good at making enemies but that would be new even for you.
"I did suspect Adelmo but this business with Merek and him giving you Kuylen's name seems rather convoluted for her. She's not very patient."
"Adelmo was my first thought as well. Whoever it is thought they did go through great pains to make our lives harder in finding them. I also wonder if this person was responsible for jamming our communications when the Jedi arrived. Almost like they didn't want us talking to each other."
Ush how hi-tech or resource heavy would something have to be to block our communications like they were?
