A green rock which doesn't emits radiation. A villain once tried to emulate kryptonite like this once by hard light images. Guess what happened?

Are you trying to state that Green Lanterns cannot create or alter chemical properties? If so, I'll be sure to let John Stewert know that the gunpowder in his sniper rifle construct shouldn't be working...

Yeah, I'm sure.

I don't know about a gunpowder which makes a bullet go 3 space sectors FTL. Maybe you would know.

Or maybe John or the ring would know and it was used for a certain occasion? Is every shot that's fired out of every time a GL has made a firearm construct 3 space sectors FTL? (and on a side note do you have a scan of this?)

There's even panels in which the fumes from the powder raises from the barrel after a shot.

You're in denial.

😂
I was talking about SCW when john shoot a guy from 3 space sectors away with a sniper rifle. That's your argument? C'mon, you can do better than that.

You are reaching and extrapolating. Not surprised though.

And I'm talking about any time a firearm is used. Like Hal Jordan's gatlin gun.

Or how about when Sinestro destroyed Hal Jordan's plane and then completely reconstructed it, jet fuel and all?

Or again, how about glue that's actually sticky? Explain that.

Green Lanterns aren't like a T1000, they can create complex machinery and chemical compounds.

in character team 1. pis/cis off team 2.

You think that they use gunpowder to fire bullets in their constructs? The bullet is still a construct of ring and he can fire it like a normal bullet if he wants to without even forming a gun.
He just re-constructed hal's plane with the spare parts IIRC and put the plane on the ground with his ring. I may have to check it again though to make sure.
Again with this glue and stuff. These are just superficial physical properties of matter. A gl visualizes a sticky substance and ring simulate it as a hard light construct. They can create complex machinery constructs no doubt about it but matter manipulating, I wouldn't believe it untill I see a proof of it.

Yes, I do believe that when lantern's create a construct it's a fully functional duplication. I believe that the fumes coming from the barrel of the constructed gun are a result of the constructed gunpower. There's even the flash-bang of the gunpowder when they shoot, lol.

You do need to read Secret Origin again...

The glue is important because if it was no more than just light that didn't have the properties of what's being created, then it wouldn't be sticky.

Lanterns are able to recreate lost limbs that actually FEEL like their real arms and legs.

Kyle put Major Force in a constructed electric chair. The electric currents were created by the ring.

Green Lanterns can create fully functional copies of their rings. Those aren't just a light construct, they are duplicates.

Salaak creates functional computers to work on.

Green Lanterns have created constructed armies that seem to have a mind of their own (Unless you think the GLs are controlling every single possible movement/dodge/attack of thousands of constructs, while fighting themselves).

Fire, water, etc. have all been created with the ring.

All of this goes completely against your claim that the constructs are absolutely nothing more than a hard light image.

Not to mention... A GL RING HAS ALREADY CREATED KRYPTONITE VIA KYLE RAYNER.

Now if you want to argue that Hal doesn't have the know-how, we can argue about that. But it's abundantly clear that the ring is capable of such, and it all depends on the wielder.

Kyle's ring was a special ring made for him by ganthet. That has been destroyed and he's been given a new ring. Ok your call but no gunpowder can make a bullet go FTL three space sectors away.
IIRC only kyle created such a construct for his friend. You think that gl constructs can be sentient? Proof. I don't deny that and you know that. Actually they are hard light constructs, guy once tricked a murderer who wanted to join GLC by sending him one and that ring worked for him too making constructs and such. No, they are hologram interfaces IIRC.
Which shouldn't have happened and all he made was synthetic kryptonite not the real one and which even supergirl has no sold. Your theory goes against the on panel descriptions of how a ring work.

Someone seems to be under the impression that, post-crisis, the ring is only capable of creating hard light objects. This post is here to showcase just a few examples of that hypothesis being utterly false by showcasing multiple Lanterns doing more than merely hard light constructs. I don't have time to get extremely extensive, but this post should be sufficient for those who believe otherwise.

To start, here is a great explanation of what the Green Lantern Ring is capable of.

“The ring responds to will power simple as that.” - Hal
"But what can it do?" - Tom
“Anything, everything if you will it…happens” - Hal

It forges dreams and thoughts into matter. It reads minds. It let’s you fly, become invisible, pass through walls, teleport through space, walk through time” - Hal

“You become your imagination, there’s nothing else like it.” - Hal

Kyle Rayner
For reference, Kyle's ring is actually Hal Jordan's old ring. This is told multiple times. Originally we thought it was an "new model", but was later explained that the reason he could effect yellow objects was because he had already faced his fear (as an artist, he always faces rejection). Lame excuse, but it explains why everyone thought it was different - it wasn't, Kyle was. Hal has also overcome this yellow impurity.

Cellular Transformation + Telekinesis
Kyle once gave himself Telekinesis and completely shape shifted himself when he couldnt use the Power Ring because they would know of the energy spike it gave out. The ship they were on had technology to be able to specifically detect Oan Energy, due to Amon Sur (Abin Sur's son). This was a stealth mission where the Power Ring could not be used.

Here's Amon Sur (Abin Sur's son) referring the cellular change.

That should prove that Lanterns can do more than just "light constructs". I wish I had more time to dig deeper, but that should cover what is being contested.

With that said, Hal can just absorb everyone into his ring where he is basically a god. Here, Abin Sur defeats “Traitor”, a being who absorbs power from dying star-suns, absorb’s him into the planet/world/universe within his ring and then casually rebuilds an entire old west town that was reduced to rubble. (Notes: This has been done before by other Lanterns - for example, Dr. Light was trapped in a ring for a long time.)

First they were tapping into hallax's energies as I recall.
Most of these are feats from kyle's special ring made by ganthet and obilivion was created when kyle was tapping into Ion force subconsciously. One more thing which gl fans sometimes all the time forget on forums that feats can't be transplanted from one character to another.
On a side note is it true that the original ring of kyle was destroyed, blair?

Those feats are outside of the "hallax feats" - which I purposefully did not include. Id and I have looked into it already - this was done without an amp.

If you read what I wrote, I already stated that the Ganthet ring (which was a re-created ring that belonged to Jordan) was nothing special besides the no-recharge. Kyle was only able to overcome yellow because he had already faced his fears as an artist.

Even excluding Kyle, the other lanterns have feats that give support to more than just hard light constructs. The fact of the matter is that Green Lanterns are different from every other single powered being in that they have the same EXACT power and we are showcasing what the RING can do - not the individual itself.

For example, if the Iron Man suit was shown as being capable of something, I wouldn't care if it was Rhodes or Tony doing the piloting - the armor itself is what is important in this case. In terms of skill, this is different as they all handle situations differently. But you can't deny the fact that if the ring is shown as being capable of doing something, then all of the Green Lanterns can then do it - so long as they have enough willpower. You going to argue that Hal Jordan doesn't have the willpower?

Not sure what exactly you are referencing - I remember Traitor destroying the ring and Kyle recreating it from it's ashes.

I was talking about Tom creating oa which I thought was by tapping in the energy of hallax.
Retconned as GL:Rebirth. Kyle's ring was without a flaw because his ring was created when there was no parallax and with the spark of guardians' own life forces as they explained how he was able to resurrect them.
Yeah it does and I totally forgot about stel, but these are exceptions not the norm. Even you have to admit that gls have been greatly depowered.
Yeah, but rules are rules blair. Just because they have the exact same power doesn't make them any special.
No, I wasn't saying that and you know that. Even then it can't be transferred, sorry blair.

Well you and I both recall kyle having hal's ring. Now if hal has his ring back, where does kyle's ring come from?

IIRC only kyle created such a construct for his friend. You think that gl constructs can be sentient? Proof. I don't deny that and you know that. Actually they are hard light constructs, guy once tricked a murderer who wanted to join GLC by sending him one and that ring worked for him too making constructs and such. No, they are hologram interfaces IIRC.
Which shouldn't have happened and all he made was synthetic kryptonite not the real one and which even supergirl has no sold. Your theory goes against the on panel descriptions of how a ring work.

I'm not saying they are beings themselves, only that they seem to have a mind of their own yet are under the control of the ring bearer... Look at Larfleeze's orange corps.

And I agree that they are constructs, but they are more than that, otherwise how would the duplicated ring be able to tap into and create its wearers will?

Show me where it goes against what's on panel...

I haven't read this thread and don't want to get involved, but it should be noted that pre-Rebirth feats aren't transferrable to post-Rebirth.

Also, Kyle's solo feats are absolutely not transferrable to anyone, ever.

man, pre-crisis hal was transmuting stuff all the time. also manipuating energy and changing it. what does hal do now? create the same damn constructs everytime. gets boring. at least sinestro is doing new stuff.

Umm... wasn't a new ring given to him when he was relieved of the Ion power?

abhi, I think you should stop.

You've already picked fights with two Superman fans who know just as much about Superman as you do, and tried to downplay Lanterns to an absurd degree.

Don't make my Carver joke comparison a reality.
