When I ask this, just know that I am not trying to be mean to you. I understand that you are trying to make Thor look Superior but I need to know the answer to this question. Did you even see the movie. The old man that seen the Hulk fall states that as soon as Hulk hits the ground, he gets up destroying and throwing everything. Pretty cut and dry. With that said, you can go back reviewing the movie a lil further to try to find more low end showings for Hulk since you failed at that one.
That's not what the guy said and you'll notice that Banner was still in the crater.
What do you mean "listen" and "relook", we aren't going to go to the cinema right now just for the sake of this debate.
I watched this very recently, and as I remember it, Hulk was conscious when he was falling through the building, but was out after impact. Banner asked if he hurt anyone (due to impact, not because he was going on a rampage), and the man there said there wasn't anyone around.
During the firsv showing of Avengers I too thought that Thor had failed to summon Mjolnir. But during the the second showing I think he was intentionally walking towards it and reflecting. His brother had intentionally tried to kill him. I don't think the fall would have killed him though as he flew out of the cannister right into the ground anyway and merely bounced.

How does getting out of the container mean he fell slower?Isn't that like the notion if you jump at the last second in an elevator falling 30 stories up you'll be able to live through it?
Yep that's what I thought when I was watching that scene. That's movie physics for you though, the last second jump off the "x" happens so often.

jake, not everything asgardian made is automatically mystical. it has to be enchanted to be so.
If a weapon is created in Asgard, then every bit of it's essence is suffused with the magical energy that sustains it's existence. The minerals that created that knife came out of Asgard's soil. It's that energy that flows through Odin and through whomever succeeds him. It doesn't mean it does tricks; it will just hurt someone like Thor whereas a dagger from Earth would blunt against his skin.
