If you watch the airplane scene you will see Superman settling the shuttle in space before coming back down to rescue the plane.

Superman was numerous times in space during Returns. not like it matters anyway because you guys are wrong about the "amp."

that scene has nothing to do with anything argued here...it was clearly showed that 100% supes was depowered to human level on the island....and after the he bathes in the sun like shown above he was able to lift the same island...which equals and amp

You don't get it do you? If Superman is in space he gets more sunlight unfiltered by the atmosphere. Its quite simple. Not like it matters because it has never been shown that "sunbathing" or whatever can amp Superman. You're using comic book knowledge and applying it to the movie while at the same time telling us "this ain't no comic."
