marvel has more kid-friendly characters like spiderman, thing, hulk, iron man, etc

Superfriends?

That is still stuck in the minds of casual fans. My older sister took my young nephew to his first comic con and saw young people in costume and asked "Are they supposed to be the Superfriends?" That's how the general public still sees them, not as the Justice League.

GL sucked because they cast Kyle Rayner in the role of Hal Jordan.

I thought it was Wally West?

superman returns was worthless imo

Lois was ugly

lex was cheesy as phuck

superman's biggest feat was lifting an inanimate object instead of using his powers on a formidable foe

the only part I liked was who singer cast as superman

one of your best posts.

that too.

If you ask me, a Justice League movie starts with one thing: Superman meets Batman in a film by themselves, with hints of what's to come.

If they do a continuation, they are joined by Wonder Woman, and whatever reason in the plot that brings her to the USA is a springboard to bring in the other characters.

Ryan Reynolds should never play Wally West; period.

x-men 2 can **** off, tbh.

X2 was good IMO. Not top of the genre good, but a solid sequel to the 1st film (which wasn't over the top and made the X-Men not extremely larger than life but more regular people with powers, kinda like Heroes attempted to do before jumping the shark), and Nightcrawler was adapted well, though what they did with Mastermind was a bit disturbing and Lady Deathstrike was just another excuse to have a woman beat up Wolverine. The sequence where Stryker invaded the school was tight. Magneto's prison escape was tight. I remember watching the school invasion where Colossus armors up and knocks the soldiers through the wall thinking "Hell yeah, Colossus is going to be in this movie" only to have Wolverine tell him to protect the other students. Wasted opportunity. I do feel there was too much focus on Wolverine in the series overall though, and that abomination that was Origins didn't help at all.

well no, not at this point... he's already been two other comic characters. I thought Ryan was a great Wade 'cause he's great at humor which is why i think he could have been a good Wally.

and reynolds can talk really fast

at this point, whedon should direct every and all comic book movies

Reynolds as Hal didn't make any sense.

Ryan isn't gay

settle down.

I like what Guillermo Del Toro did with Blade II and to a slightly lesser extent, what he did with Hellboy.

James McTeague did V for Vendetta and Ninja Assassin... i think he'd be ideal for big screen adaptations of darker, more edgy properties.

I loved blade II as well...btw I was more referring to hiring whedon for the mainstream characters (ie wonder woman)

also, whedon would be good because he brings in the $$$, which means more movies. none of the movies you listed were big box office hits.

There's also Snyder who did Watchmen and 300. Can't judge him on Man of Steel yet.

and of course there is God Nolan as some people like to call him.

Which, incidentally, is why I don't want him to be played by him. Not because of his appearences in other movies.

whedon wanted to cast sarah michelle gellar, iirc.

Superman Returns had shitty direction and Singer ****ed things up big time by focusing on Reeves films instead of focusing on bringing Superman to a whole new audiene. Lack of a villain to punch made it even worse. Sigh. Still the plane sequence was amazing.

I agree with everything Illactus said about X-2.

Blade 2 was good too in a X-2 kind of way.

Sarah Michelle Gellar as who?

in what role?

speaking of that, I'm actually kinda surprised a Whedon-verse actor didn't make their way into Avengers... unless you count Smulders via proxy to NPH and Hannigan.

If I was Marvel Studios, I'd sign him to a lifetime contract.

Alan Tudyk was rumored for Ant Man... hmmmm
