in what role?

speaking of that, I'm actually kinda surprised a Whedon-verse actor didn't make their way into Avengers... unless you count Smulders via proxy to NPH and Hannigan.

Hemsworth hit the big screen a couple weeks before in the Whedon-produced Cabin in the Woods.

Officially a Whedon-verse actor.

Alan Tudyk was rumored for Ant Man... hmmmm
i like Alan but he seems a bit too comedic for the role of Hank. I actually think Ed Norton would make a pretty good Pym, but that's not gonna happen for obvious reasons.

whedon wanted to cast sarah michelle gellar, iirc.

It was Charisma Carpenter.

Which I personally don't see. I guess Maybe..

Actually the only thing Whedon said that hinted at his WW casting was that he felt the character was "like" Angelina Jolie.

Wonder Woman, iirc.

so three shitty casting choices then.

I like Joss Whedon, I really do, and I appreciate that his re-use of actors allows him to write not only for characters that he understands well, but for the artist portraying them.

Forcing Buffy or Cordelia into a Wonder Woman role is pretty ridiculous though.... mind you, I could actually see a more serious Alan Tudyk as Pym, I guess, though he wouldn't be my first choice.

Maybe I just see them too much as their previous roles.

I could see Charisma Carpenter as Scarlet Witch if they introduce her and Quicksilver to the team.

I'm also hoping Cable/X-Force/X-Factor gets a film, though I think it should go with a dark, militaristic, "Terminator"-esque approach. I can see a live action adaptation of a kind of Days of Futures Past/Age of Apocalypse/Messiah war inspired story with Cable jumping around to different timelines trying to stop a post-apocalyptic future from taking place and that storyline could crossover into the combined universe and introduce Apocalypse, Kang the Conqueror, Mr. Sinister, Rachel Summers, X-Man, Stryfe, Bishop, the Sentinels, etc.

GL sucked because it was shit
fixed

GL was shit because they cast Kyle Rayner as Hal Jordan.

don't edit me, bro. sneer

He was the only real draw of the film, like they literally sold it as ryan Reynolds as green lantern. I don't care for the guy at all but Without him nothing memorable remains in that film.....besides the shit monster and it's hilarious plot hole demise

yeah, it was a steaming pile all around; from the horrible cg suits to the ridiculous decision to give Parallax the F4 Galactus treatment, it was just pure fail.

I'd really, really like to see Wanda join the Avengers. I assume it's not going to happen though, given that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch fall under the X-Universe umbrella, which is all still owned by Fox - something they're not likely to let go of lightly, what with the success of First Class.

Sighz.

A Venom movie would be good.

a solo Venom movie? how would that work exactly? Venom vs the military?

well, he had to lose, but what i meant was that killawog was able to make a small star with his ring with ease, and that's what they needed to defeat parallax. unless im missing something i see no real reason why killawog, and other lanterns he's trained couldn't simply go out to parallax and take him out.

I think that Olga Kurylenko would play a better Scarlett Witch personally. She even has the right accent.
