One of the main actors from Dollhouse (the guy with the ability to do pretty much any accent) was one of the two cops with lines in Avengers. Not a big role, but he is a "Whedon-verse" actor.

I think Michael Jai White should be Luke Cage. I know he was Spawn and in the Dark Knight, but that was long enough ago to not matter, and seeing how Evans switched from Torch to Cap it shouldn't be an issue.
I still say Terry Crews if we go with the modern look for Cage. He can be a good mix of funny and intimidating, which would be perfect for a heroes for Hire film.
