The way the pieces of armor flew onto Tony's body was the stupidest thing I've seen in a long time.

They should have shattered the bones in his body when they landed.
Proven when during his testing of the suit one piece crashed into and embedded itself into reinforced glass. And the way they struggled against and eventually broke through a chained barn door.

What a lame response to the Extremis Armor. Which relied on Inertial Dampeners to accurately fly onto Tony's body. The individual pieces in the comic moved like high speed accurate telekinesis.

The movie versions were nothing more than Repulsor jet propelled cannonballs.

Lazy writing.

He injected something into his body. I assumed the armours sensors stop before hitting him.

That was actually one of the cooler parts of the movie for me.

one of my favorite movie

Yet they launched onto Pepper's body with no problem at all.

The suit is pure bad writing.

Oh Yeah.. LOL

right after the initial testing failed because the pieces where flying at him too quickly, he said something to the effect of "let's slow them down"... they didn't show the process, but he must have fixed the speed problem.

They could have easily thrown in a fight scene here.

I could easily throw my fist into your face.

Remember that.

Yep. IP went down well too easily. A good IP fight scene there(when the movie was getting slow) would have helped the movie A LOT.

It was ok, Star Trek was much better though

I really liked it, Marvel needs to go in different directions to stay fresh. Keeping stark out of the armor for a lot of the film and telling a smaller scale story were both great ideas.

I just bought this on Blu-ray today.

It looks awesome on my LED screen.

Rhodes got jobbed hard during his time in the armor. I liked how he came out swinging when he was forced out though, and his response to Killian was hilarious.

I was genuinely disappointed that Extremis wasn't used how Warren Ellis did in the comic book. I wanted to see Tony re-write his DNA to make his armor respond to his mental commands.

There's just so many ways they could have made IM3 much much better imho. The comic book IM Extremis would have been great.

The film sucked only (personally) because it didn't live up to the example that the original comic did.

Tony had a damn collection of wines in his armoury. It was perfect time for a Demon in a Bottle plot.

Instead it dealt with Tony's troubles as being anxiety attacks with a kid being his anchor to the world.

This was supposed to be Tony's evolution saga yet they decided to give the advancement to Pepper Potts.
Which was an obvious script re-write and made no sense to the overall plot.

It's disappointing they never went down that path, especially with all the hints layered out in the first 2 movies. Would have been a great character driven plot for an otherwise epic franchise.

Add that to action sequences with proper Extremis IM or the real Manadarin, and that movie really would have been worth the Billion Dollars+ it made.

There's also that scene where Stark is captured & (from memory) only one of his foot & arm armour comes to his calling whilst the rest of his armour is trapped in the kid's basement/workshop...and then you see them breaking the chains on the door & flying to his call.

So why was his foot & hand armour not with the rest of the suit?
