True indeed Prep! Have you read: The Girl Who Would Be Death?

Quick question, has this ever been retconned ON PANEL (don't bother linking to interviews with Gaiman whining, I want on panel evidence)?

Black Racer : Death as Inevitability
Death of the Endless : Death as Compassionate Release
Nekron : Death as COSMIC Certainty, the Ultimate Opponent

PS, here's Marvel's middle finger to Prince Gaiman

😆

Aside from Gaiman (and a few other writers, inc. Mike Carey, writer of Lucifer) reiterating time and time again that Death of the Endless is the one true 'version' of death on a conceptual level... There's also this:

Death is the last/only thing to survive when the universe finally comes to an absolute end. After taking Destiny, her final task is to: "Put [the universe] all in order, and lock [the universe] behind her as she leaves." Aside from her, absolutely NOTHING existed--she took ALL.

The above was also confirmed when Dream/Delirium remarked that Death would be the only one of them who outlasts the universe:

...And the fact that she didn't give a single phuck about Nekron's little tangent (of which threatened the universe) further tells us the level in which she operates...

Proof?

What does this universe matter to Nekron? He isn't even native to it! His home realm is outside the physical universe sandwiched between Heaven and Hell and all souls must pass through it to their final judgement.

Face it, he's completely beyond her. He's the Void between the atoms that comprise this universe, he's the living darkness that existed prior to the living universe, and he's Lord of Purgatory where all souls must pass.

He exists everywhere and nowhere in the physical universe (the space between atoms) AND Purgatory.

His mead wench isn't doing jack.

^ You need to hop off Nekron's bone. You asked if the 'multiple versions of Death' BS had ever been retconned. It was to that question that I replied.

Anyway, Death wins. She embodies a concept that is simply beyond Nekron (a character so powafull that he requires a phuck-load of outside assistance just to exit his own realm, lol.) Thank you for helping me understand that.

nope. never have.

at zop zop, do you put nekron on the same level as oblivion or chaos king?

Yes, he's an abstract being their level. Like Marvel's Eternity, Infinity, Death, Oblivion, Order, Chaos, etc.. I used to think he was a mere Death God like Hela or Walker but I was dead wrong.

Yes, I was asking for proof that the versions of Death thing had been retconned. On panel, not interviews.

Death is NOT beyond Nekron. He already exists in the living universe as the void between atoms (stated on panel) AND he also exists as Lord Of Purgatory. He exists both inside and outside the living universe. His prison/kingdom is between Heaven and Hell and souls must pass through it for final judgement.

His mead wench isn't doing sh|t against him except fetching him souls that feed him more power.

Gotta read it sometime, its about a cult that worships her (Death). Pretty good comic that shows not to mess with her!

Everything I mentioned happened "on panel". Additionally, the scan I posted SHOWS us that Death of the Endless is the final thing left at the absolute end of the universe--no other versions of death still exist. Doesn't get any clearer that she is it.

And yes, Death is WELL beyond Nekron now that I think about it. 🙂

Oh okay.

Thought this was interesting...

Lex: "The attack of the Black Lanterns! the dead rising! That's what this is about, isn't it? It was you behind that!"
Death: "Oh yeah. I noticed that. It looked like they were all having a great time. You know, people do come back from the dead. It's not a big deal... I AM kind of busy.":

Lex: "The dead have come back to life! Several of them!"
Death: "It happens! In the end, they ALL come back to ME.":

Death seemed to treat the entire Blackest Night affair like it was nothing at all. An insignificant event she hardly even noticed. Funny.

She's such a G!

Weren't Black Flash and Black Racer retconned to be the same being?

Dear Zozop,

I thought I should point this out, in case you missed it:🙄

Never! Why don't you and Galan hop on? There's room for more (he's an abstract being so he can be in multiple places at a time, it wouldn't be all uncomfortable, you know three guys, one c0ck). And since he's not really male or female, there's nothing to be ashamed of (you know how SOME people are)! Win/win all the way around!😉

That's just like Mistress Death.

Miss Death has outlived the Eternity on two occasions.

When Korvac deleted Earth-82432.

When Thanos deleted 616 & change.

It seems her realm/essence which is outside space & time
will never be affect by the consequences of Reality. (space/time)

I'm surprised you didn't work in a scan of Dr. Strange talking to Eternity.

Because there are beings in Marvel who have become more powerful than Death (circumstantial or not), I have never viewed her in quite the same light as I do Death of the Endless.

But yeah, they're essentially the same thing. Both embody Death.

Aren't there beings in DC more powerful than Endless Death?

I bet you can up with 5 in a snap and 10 if you give it some thought. 😛

Definitely. I can think of 5 right off the top of my head but somehow he will still believe she is mightier than Mistress Death with no leg to stand on.
