What should I do when people are actually taking their own opinions and speculations over what actually happened in the comic?

You think you know better than me? Post a proof from the comic, I'll happily bow out. But this is just ridiculous.

What, you wanna fight about it now, is that it?

No, I'm beyond caring at this point.

I said that and that's what Superman said to batman for the travel through the black holes. You can call it theorizing all you want, but that's the only explanation of how the doomsday virus was cleansed out of his system.

No other explanation was given to why superman flew through those black holes. Unless you want to simply speculate and ignore the on panel statement that is.

An explicit statement was NEVER given by Superman--he speculated/theorized that the black holes may have been what eradicated the virus from his being--and maybe they were. However, he NEVER stated that his sole rationale for plunging himself into multiple black holes on his way back to earth was to rid himself of the virus. That is simply your own conjecture.

Do you honestly expect to convince people when you talk like that?

You can't ***** about people twisting your words when you take liberties with the comics themselves.

If only we could ban people for being petty haters...

Why can't you?

A lot of the times it just becomes one hater absolutely refusing to use comics and just makes shit up pissing off the fanbase and the rest of the forum. And they do it constantly. How is that productive? And how is that not worse than some other shit?

Some haters have some merits while still shitting on a character all the time, though still annoying. But the ones worse than Carver should get the boot. Carver can be the benchmark for such a rule.

So, we are just moving in a circle at this point I see. Why didn't superman specified what he used those black holes for then?

Again:

As for your red herring: I, for one, have never once claimed that Superman using the black holes as a means to shorten his length of travel back to earth is an incontrovertible fact. However, I do believe it is a logical possibility. Huge difference. 🙂

Well, if anything else, Superman being able to dive into black holes is a great durability feat for the Nu version. I don't see post crisis Supes being able to do that.

Also probably been mentioned before, but the best traveling feat to me is Superman when he had to be stopped by the Spectre for going too fast.

Again. Mostly curious at this point.

The first black hole he dived into was bigger than earth.

Well, it's nice to see they are slowly taking the character back to his crazy levels of power(which is a good thing).

Carver is like Odin, or Surfer - the absolute benchmark of their levels.

Right. He flew for sixty days, non-stop.

En route, he flew through multiple black holes.

The only way to reconcile 'traveled non-stop', and 'journey included multiple black holes', is if the black holes behave as worm holes. This fits, given that a black hole = worm hole was already a part of the same storyline.

Demanding that this be further confirmed just seems like a desperate attempt to make a ridiculous feat even more absurd. It's already an awesome feat for Superman. No reason to bullshit it into being more than it is though.

^ This type of thinking somehow births 25+ pages of preposterous righteous indignation. A portion of that solely dedicated to disingenuous efforts to invalidate every single FTL travel speed of Silver Surfer's. Is the utter hypocrisy too big to see or is just so endemic in the forums that we just brush it aside now because, y'know, it's a Superman thread (even though it's not)?

Seriously. Boil down the last 25+ pages and what you get is: questioning one speed feat of Superman's ----> counter-argument: we shouldn't count any speed feat of Silver Surfer's ever, because... hyperspace.

I have a hard time believing nobody else sees this. It's like questioning the merit of Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game ----> counter-argument: none of Michael Jordan's high scores ever even happened, because... Phil Jackson.

But something Superman knows WITHOUT A DOUBT is that the black hole will transport him. no theorizing needed

Because he created it when he had Brainiac power. You know, universal level reality warping power.

Haha, this guy just doesn't know when to quit.

I remember asking you what the difference was between "artificial" black holes and natural ones but you never replied

One was stated to able to drag you hem both across universe. The natural ones were not.

And what was the purpose of those two quotes anyway? ODG is just repeating the same thing over and over to somehow discredit Superman's feat with a non existent proof. Yet it somehow doesn't occurs to him.

Surfer is dogshit compared to superman, get over it.

For a segment of fans to react that brashly over some light scrutiny, I think it betrays just how massively insecure they are with their favourite character.

Some light scrutiny? We have seen a feat attempted to be discredited over non existent proof and made up shit and argued for twenty pages.

What was light scrutiny was the argument over surfer's feats and look how you back lashed against it.
