STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Initiation

"Ask if I care. I don't want to be here any longer," Rianna snaps before exiting the room.

She's not actually going anywhere, though she will try to run if anyone tries to stop her...she just needs to get away from Rand. She refuses to give in to her emotions and he's far too good at provoking her.

To your surprise, nobody bars your path.

As was mentioned to you, Rianna finds herself in what must be the richest hospital this side of the Galaxy. The lords and ladies of the Tapani Sector, while still members of the Republic, tend to keep their wealth to themselves and spend it lavishly on things that can only better themselves. This hospital has every hi-tech contraption and comforting amenity it could possibly have. The rooms are spotless and white, of course, but the halls are painted a soothing shade of blue, with intricate frescoes of great Tapani doctors carrying out procedures.

Your wandering brings you to a balcony that overlooks a shallow sea. The coastline is dark and ashy, majestic only in a cold fashion. Cities line the coast, golden spires rising from the ashen rock.

Rianna still finds displays of wealth like that odd and distasteful...

She'll stop on the balcony, deciding that it's as good a place to pause and rest as any, and she sits down and leans against the wall. She's really kind of disturbed at how good Rand is at provoking her anger, and how quickly and easily she had nearly lost her temper.

Everything about the situation bothers her deeply...

Out of curiosity is the balcony too high up that she wouldn't be able to potentially escape that way?

And does she sense anyone nearby or following her?

You would be leaping to your death on the rocks far below.

There is an orderly keeping a watchful eye on the area, not necessarily you. But no-one has pursued you yet.

You certainly have no idea where you are or where you would go, though.

Rianna is pretty much trapped, and she doesn't like it. Still, the last thing she wants to do is go back to Rand and the others.

She'll stay out here until she's calmed down some, before going back in and exploring the hospital some. If she's going to be here a while she wants to know the place.

You briefly wonder where you are while observing the coastline.

The hospital is actually not all that large. You suppose it is probably more exclusive, considering the source of its funding. There is a medical wing for all the rooms, then a comfort area for recovering patients.

The plush carpet feels good beneath your feet; you are definitely limping when you walk, and a few times nurses and orderlies ask if you need assistance.

Has Rianna ever heard of Tapani before? She's kind of wishing she had actually studied more about the galaxy...

She'll turn down all offers of help of course, though now she feels at a loss as to what to do. She still hasn't given up on the idea of escape- are there any exits that she saw or passed?

You have heard of the Tapani Sector. It was the site of many wars with the Sith as the Jedi tried to purge their presence from the area. They were never all that successful until the Sith were supposedly destroyed. You do not know the specifics of its systems or planets.

There are plenty of ways out. But where would you go?

No idea! Somewhere that isn't here. Somewhere that isn't where everyone else is. Somewhere away from Rand and his group, most importantly.

Something tells you that it seems unlikely at the moment.

When you explore one of the exits from the hospital, some side door from the comfort lounge, Rand is standing just beside the doorway.

"I can sense your anger anywhere in this structure," Rand says.

Rianna turns at his voice, instinctively lashing out with her fist.

"Leave me alone," she snaps.

Rand interposes his arm; the exertion makes you realize just how out of sorts you are.

"You won't survive without me," Rand says. "The Order is hunting for you, now, for the murders of two Jedi and several officers on Bespin. Do you want to be left to their mercy?"

"I don't think that they even believe I survived that fall," Rianna replies. "I hardly believe it. And I don't want anything to do with you!"

"They never saw a body, did they?" Rand says. "Just those you left in your wake."

"So how long did you have Zaltus following your orders?" Rianna snaps in response.

"Those answers don't come freely," Rand says. "You're so full of questions and unwilling to earn them. Is everything supposed to come easily to you?"

"I apologize for thinking I have a right to know about things that directly involved me," Rianna replies sarcastically. "Except that I'm not."

Rand sighs.

"You agreed to come out of that medical casket on the basis that you were going to train under me," Rand says. "I am now under the impression that this is not the case."

"And do you think that I'm going to just instantly be okay and agreeable with whatever you wish? But then again, you had wanted this. I don't."

You sense a fresh wave of anger from Rand; it certainly overpowers whatever you are feeling, souring your anger into fear.

"Here are your options, girl. You join me or you die. I won't be the one to kill you, nor anyone under my tutelage. The Galaxy will kill you. Accept it or not, you have crossed to the Dark Side. The Natural Order of the Universe is disgusted by us and the unnatural twist we cause. We are the Imbalance. And if you do not learn how to work along side those who walk the path with you...

"You will not last.

"The Galaxy will find a way to right itself."

You find that Rand has pressed you back against a wall with the Force during this rant, locking you in place.
