STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Initiation

"Aha..." Rand says, measuring his words. "Right. On. The money."

There are no trails that you can see.

"How is that even possible?"

"The Sith learned many abilities that the Jedi considered unnatural," Rand says. "Life and death are natural parts of the Force. Avoiding death, however... the Sith always seek it. And in some cases, they succeeded."

That just makes Rianna's skin crawl.

"Now I want to get away from this forest even more."

"There is no easy way out of that forest," Rand says. "I have been under its branches before."

"I don't care. This place is all wrong!"

"How do you propose to leave it?" Rand asks. "There's no clear way out, is there?"

"I don't know, Rand! If I knew, I wouldn't have asked you!"

"I can't always hand you the answer, Rianna," Rand says. "Sometimes I will, but not always.

"Did the forest speak to you at all?"

"Yes. I said that already. That's why I want out of here."

"What were they most concerned with?"

"They said that there was darkness in me...and they showed me images of everyone who's died from my actions..." Rianna replies, trying to not think about that too much.

"So what do you need to exhibit to them before you can leave?" Rand asks.

"They didn't say what they wanted..." Rianna says.

"I'm sure you can suss that, Rianna," Rand says. "Search your mind. I know you know some Jedi lore, if not nearly as much as I do. You're dealing with echoes of the Sith, and they rigorously tested their students."

"No, Rand. I am not using the Dark Side. I will not do it!" Rianna snaps.

"Then you will be stuck there to starve and die," Rand says pleasantly.

"I hate you," Rianna says. "And I'm sick of you toying with me. I am going to find my way out of here, and I am going to make you regret pushing me around like this..."

"Ah, careful now," Rand says. "Is that anger I hear? Let me remind you that I saved your life and am offering you a way to continue and thrive. The Jedi failed you where I won't!"

"You only saved my life after manipulating things so that I was nearly killed," Rianna snaps in response. She's going to start walking...anywhere. If anything looks familiar she'll follow it. But she doesn't like just standing here and wants to get out of there, preferably without giving in like Rand wants her to.
