Nate. If you bother to read this before trying to post in the RP, then please restrict your post. Shota will stop you if you try to get up and run to the cabin. If you stand up and try to run, she'll attack you.
OOC; we know nothing is in there with Annie. But as characters, we don't. It's meta-gaming to act on that. If Nate has any common sense... any at all... he should at least see that him charging in blindly could hurt more then it would help.
@Reg: Also... "torture" for reg would follow more along the action of *shakes my hips a little in Reg's direction* "Oh my.. I've been naughty, I need to be punished.." < I have not done that. Silly boy.
*she gasps and stumbles back with an amazed look upon her face*
! Damn! I didn't even notice him post. Who is this man... He is clearly more powerful then the others. I should keep a close eye on him...
*she runs up to Scenario and waves* Ayyyyyyyyye! Scenario-san! Let's hang out, okay? *her eyes narrow* Perfect execution..
Okay, so it's done and done, but I really just want to point something out. This is something that's just bothering me personally.
At this point, at least in my mind, in the RP, it's the dead of night. In the woods, it has to be damn near pitch black, barely-able-to-see-the-back-of-your-hand dark. The fact that everyone is able to clearly see footprints and trails in this situation is a somewhat odd, especially if none of the characters are specifically trackers with training in doing such things.
I get that we need to get everyone together, so I'm not going to really argue if it gets the job done, it's just...I don't know. It bothers me. The only other way I could see this being assuaged is if Shadows like Faust and Donny can use the Darkness element to achieve a kind of darkvision...which actually sounds kind of neat, but yeah...I'm terribly vexed.
Carry on. 😛
I figured Dominus would be bold enough to attack in broad daylight, myself, and if I remember nate's post, there was only a few hours that passed before he woke up. I figured that'd be enough to put us just past the midnight hour.
Like I said, this has been a long and traumatizing Day 1 for our heroes.
As far as me seeing the body, it is laying on the ground. To my knowledge, it's not pitch black. I've been out in the middle of night. Seeing things is still possible because you have light from the moon and the stars above. That would make seeing things like keys, a weapon, stuff like that difficult. Aside from that, I don't see anything recently that we haven't complained about that would bring up such a point. Unless you're talking about the tree.
No no, the cabin would be visible, since I imagine there would be at least a small clearing that it would be in, so at the very least the ambient starlight would be able to shine through. I'm talking about when Avon was in the thick of the woods and such just before Faust knocked him out. Under the canopy of the trees, it would be really difficult to make out definition, even after your eyes adjust. I know this for a fact because when I was younger my middle school had a outdoor education trip that I took part in, and one of the things we did was walk down a trail in the dark of night. I could see the trail before me, but if I looked out towards where the trees were bunched together in the forest proper, I couldn't really make out anything under their shadow.
Also, if anyone else notices the body of Annie's uncle, I ask that you not interact with it. There are plans for it.
Edit: That is, to say, you can note that your character sees the body, but don't kick it or nudge it or attempt a coup de grace or anything like that.

Lol.. Coup de grace?
French for "blow of mercy."
It's basically any attack to finish someone off after they've been wounded or defeated. Annie stabs the guy, but he's still alive. If someone were to go up and "put him out of his misery" that could be described as a coup de grace.
(I think the italics are necessary.)
Edit: Xan is a ninja now.
