Well Ben for the longest just wanted to be human or have the option of turning human and still doesn't feel completely normal. For him knowing that Reed his closest most trusted friend purposely made him miserable is a huge betrayal. So even if good came out if it doesn't change the fact that your own friend and family changed what you were without your permission or even owning up to it.

Lulz. Still, it would make sense. I doubt Reed is douchey enough to say 'My uncle tried to stand up to McCarthyism and was a moron for doing it cuz he couldn't win and you should respect the law and he ended up dying for it.' Especially not to ****ing Spiderman of all people.
