Best dlc and blown away from the implications of it. Solas is one badass that's for sure. Holy ****.
Inquisition sucked dude. They should go back to the Dark Spawn. Korypheus was the most anticlimactic boss in all of Thedas' history. Then the game ends with a cliffhanger. The game was total coffee coaster material and that's being polite. Why is it that whenever EA gets overly tied up in a franchise that everything floats in one direction... The Shitter?
I went back and played Origins, and Awakening. This is the direction that DA should be moving back towards. Who cares about some Inquisitor with a curse mark in his hand? The Armor creation system blew turds. Every piece of gear looked the same, there were too many WTF moments involved. I mean I'm the Inquisitor and yet I'm the one running around picking up rocks and grass stems... Like really?
I want Bioware to go back to using the same engine as they did when they made Origins. I mean what did they do? Whoopeez now your character can jump. The moment that I began playing the game, it felt less like Dragon Age, and more like Mass Effect. Where did all of the Dark Spawn go? Bioware should have gone into the past, and allowed us to see the events that took place in the Blight before the one that took place in Origins. What a huge let down.

I know brother. I mean I wanted to be a Grey Warden not some random idea that felt right. Continuity is what makes people come back for more. Inquisition did sell more than any other DA title, but that's because it tricked everyone into giving the title one last try. DA2 was horrible, so I for one was ready to try this super hyped up game that fell short in nearly every possible way. When I was done playing the game, the only thing that I liked was the huge world although it had nothing in it, and the dragon battles. I still can't get over the unimaginative armor builds in terms of aesthetics. How could they go from Leiliana and Morrigan to Scar Face and the bald headed Princess?

Origins was amazing so I can't say anything other than that but the story needs to go forward not retread old ground. The Blight was amazing but we can't go back to that.
Corypheus had his own army and his plans made an arch demons look sad by direct comparison. In the end his mind, his plans, his unkillability made him far more formidable than an Archdemon.
Solas being the dread wolf of ancient Elvhen legend was awesome and wait till you see what he has planned. Solas' agents were the ones who gave Corypheus the orb due to him not being strong enough to open it. The resulting explosion was supposed to kill Corypheus but Solas didn't plan on him learning the secret to effective immortality. We later find out Solas is the one responsible for creating the Veil and that the Elvhen people are extreme badasses from times long ago. The Evanuris aren't even dead just banished and Solas is opposing the Inquisition in his own Solas way. He's one lovable thoughtful son of an Elvhen *****.
The future has never looked brighter. Onward not backward, my dear chap.

Onward would dictate that they tied up loose ends. What about Morrigan, and the Elder god child? The Inquisitor was a trashy move in terms of where they could have taken the story. I wanted to be a Grey Warden, not Mr. Glow Paws. As the Inquisitor, you play a high ranking comander, and yet you're the one running around picking up materials. That was weak, and took away from the game instead of adding to it. Your minions should have been doing all of that for you as you progressed through the game and found newer areas. They should have gotten the people that they hired to find new deposits of everything, and these new elements, foliage, etc should have been seen in the Market Place when you went to buy items. It felt more like a chore than a game.
I'm definitely going to buy part 4, but I'm really hoping that they leave the Inquisition on the back burner, and go back to the Dark Spawn concept. The only thing that they needed to do was create newer types of Dark Spawn. The armor system was also terrible.
Oh, and in my game, Solas got the silent treatment.
Ugh, why do you want to play a Warden? It's been done. We beat the Archdemon and the Blight. We rebuilt the Order in the expansion. There's nothing left to do with a Warden storyline. The Inquisition was a way better story decision cuz it let you directly deal with so many of the ongoing plotlines at once. A Warden couldn't have even approached Corypheus, let alone settle the Mage/Templar story, engage in the Orlais plot, deal with the elf stuff or reform the Chantry.

Well there was a blight that happened before origins as far as Thedas history is concerned. They could have gone back in time instead of forward. DA3 Inquisition lost the entire feel of the DA series, and that's something that threw a lot of people off. Like I said, they could have easily have formed a story about Morrigan and the Elder God child that she was going to have. All they would have to do was skip to 20 years into the future. Then again, they can still do that, because Inquisition takes part right after DA2 which isn't that far ahead in the time line. It just lost its entire feel is what I'm saying.

There will be darkspawn in the next one but we will see the Evanuris who are much bigger badasses than any old blight. Solas would ass**** the darkspawn. You missed out then because Solas is a pretty big deal. If you think Flemeth was a badass you ain't seen nuthin' yet.

Sounds promising. I just had my heart set on Andraste's origins, and speaking of Flemeth, it would have really been cool to see her in her youth and delve into the Owen, and Lord Connabar's story which led to her becoming an abomination. I'd imagine that she would have looked strikingly similar to Morrigan back in the day 400 years ago. They also had griffon's back in those days, and King Calenhad.
I'm not trying to whine about Inquisition, that's not my goal. I was just hung up on the history surrounding the past two games. I'll definitely be getting the new DA games that come out. This is the same way that I feel about the Elder Scrolls though. I want them to go way back to an age before what we know, and then we can play through the history that was written about.

Elder Scrolls came at a time that no other open ended world existed of its magnitude. They need to move on by improving graphics, combat, and adding a better political theme to the world among other things, but it held gamer enthusiasts in its grip for over a decade even dethroning Final Fantasy in many peoples opinions.
I've never tried Witcher but I'll get around to it one day. The problem is that I missed all of the other games in the series, which throws me off a bit. I may have been a little hasty in my judgement of DA3 Inquisition. I played the Warrior, and Rogue class (wasn't impressed), but now that I've decided to give it another try I've gone with the Mage class, and it's much better. What kills me, is that the Rogue class was the most dominant class in the first 2 DA games, but now the Rogue is just a squishy mess. I'd still like to play the other 4 Blights, but I'm almost certain that if they put out more parts, that another Blight is going to come to Thedas.

I will be surprised if they make another Dragon Age game any time soon. After the new Mass Effect, I feel a new IP would be pretty amazing from Bioware,
They'll make another one. Too many people bought Inquisition for them to lay down and die. That would be like buying a mouse trap to let loose on your genitals just because. I'm liking the game a bit more now that I've tried the Mage class, but still miffed on the running around picking up grass stems part. When you plant a flag in certain areas you should be able to hire agents that go out picking up ingredients and crafting materials that you can then purchase for a minimum fee. Also Mass Effect has a completely different feel to it.
You are probably right but I don't believe a sequel to DA3 will arrive in the next few years. Bioware has shown the ability to buck trends and create new IP's and I wouldn't be surprised if they do create a new one.
I personally think it would be a mistake to create a new Dragon Age game after the new Mass Effect because I believe Dragon Age has reached a saturation point. I'm not sure if DA4 will sell as well.
