After his clever no-sale act, Prime does indeed remove Black Adam from the field of combat.
It's important again to note however, Prime had absolutely NO idea whatsoever that punching Black Adam a certain distance away from the tower would have that effect, and, in fact, needs Alex Luthor's explanation to understand what just happened ...
Besides noting that the BFR of Adam is accidental, not all deliberate or expected on Prime's part, notice that Prime himself would LIKE to be transported to his own world in similar fashion, and apparently WAS able to do so, but cannot anymore.
This, along with Alex Luthor's own hypothesis suggests yet a 2nd or 3rd time that Prime has demonstrably CHANGED from the more or less standard pre-Crisis Kryptonian he was years ago.
Prime DOES show one final ingenuity typical of the pre-Crisis "Super" era, though. DS said earlier that the following was essentially retconned, but note now Prime's own comments here about his outfit ...
Prime goes on to confirm what was said earlier, that his BFR into the Speed Force lasted several YEARS, even as we saw Bart saying the same thing, and he and Prime BOTH come back looking visibly aged.
He threatens his friend Alex, which seems out of character for him from what I remember to this point, but is grabbed just after that declaration ...
Be mindful of your language, Iceman.
"We" do not all know this.
It was not too many pages ago, for instance, that Delta1938 was telling me all about how Black Adam was using an ultra-strength attack against Prime.
The scene itself does not mention that.
It emphasizes the magic portion.
In fact, it has Prime himself saying "the MAGIC hurts".
Then to seal the deal it has Jonn Jonnz being more effective with a single punch than Black Adam was with 5 of those emphasized magic attacks.

Now, as mentioned before, Prime has a definite fear of the dark.
In a little bit, I plan to show how someone like Iron Man uses psychology against opponents in desperate fights; certainly the case can be made that the issue is likely to come up if the Avengers figure out Prime is powered by sunlight and proceed to try to block it from him by several means; certainly Tony is one to capitalize on such.
But first to actually show it in Prime's record.
IC#6 does not, of course, end with Manhunter punching out Prime.
Rather we're given a quick cut scene to Richard and Connor trying to destroy Alex Luthor's tower/world-melding machine.
Then we quickly switch back to J'onnz's allies confronting Prime, including someone who can blanket the area in darkness.
Prime reacts violently.
Somehow, he's able to send a forceful backlash of some sort.
There are flashes of light, or one big flash, as apparently those others, like Adam before them, were sent JUST beyond the necessary "stay" range of the tower.
But the point relevant to the Avengers discussion is that Prime, randomly in darkness, demonstrates a SEVERE phobia and astute fighter like Tony can exploit.

Think we're mostly agreed that Ares is likeliest to go based on in-character behavior from everyone here.
The Avengers aren't likely to be playing stupid after that point.
Then, too, Tony's armor can take a LOT more punishment than many people realize. I suppose I'll have to show that too, eventually ...
You're talking about something quite different from Prime's in-comic character when you tell me "like speedster it only slows him down if he lets it ..."
1) Prime's in-character style is get in someone's face, tank what they've got, and dare them to come on with more. He nearly ALWAYS "lets" people try what they want, because he's arrogantly confident he can take most anything.
There are relatively few exceptions to this.
Point in fact, I can't think of any.
I doubt you can, either.
I'd be impressed if someone could so much as show me Prime ducking a punch. He's NOT noted for great or even particularly active defense.
2) The Speedsters "only slowed Prime down" for a period of several YEARS. That's a match-winning "only" on this forum, lest I am VERY much mistaken.
