Im just gonna say that Ultron sucked as a villain, what a waste, another bad guy ruined by the childish MCU formula.

Oh well, i have DCU for decent, serious, good villains....

I've been thinking maybe that individual

Spoiler:
may not be dead
, Something to do with some medical technology which gets used on Hawkeye earlier on in the film when you see it.

Well it didn't end up being much of a spoiler because

Spoiler:
I heard both twins survived so was certain Rhodey was going to be the one to bite the dust.

It sounds like a lot of the things that Whedon said would be in the movie, about Ultron being super persuasive in a way that would convince audience members that his nihilistic philosophy had a twisted sort of sense, was excised from the final cut.

Is it me or did they totally

Spoiler:
Frankenstein Vision by having Thor bring him to life with lightning?

Not a fan on how they portrayed Ultron either. Weakest thing in the movie IMO. too much Spader, IMO. Not menacing enough. Still a good movie, tho.

Somehow, I feel Bill Nighy woulda been better. IMO, of course. Too bad, he's overexposed ATM.

Are you trolling?

I liked Ultron how he was portrayed, At least they didn't squander him unlike compared with The Mandarin....Even tho they have redeem the villain's presence with that one-shot.

Ultron was fine. He wasn't particularly strong as a villian but he was about on par with Loki in the first movie, in terms of his villian-cred.

Ultron as a villain was fine. (Even though His

Spoiler:
origin was seriously rushed
).

But he's no Loki.

They could have developed

Spoiler:
Von Strucker and used Klaw
a lot more though IMHO.

How would you rank the movies? Top 5.

Well didn't really want to say before everyone's watched it. So to those who want to watch it first I'll put my non-spoiler opinion in spoilers:

Spoiler:
It's good but that's mainly due to the insane action and special effects IMHO.

In terms of top 5 superhero movies? It's not in there.

Barely makes it into my top 5 MCU movies. Avengers1 and IM1 are still my top 2 Marvel movies. And they're both in my top 5 superhero movies as well. My next fav MCU movies are Thor1 and Cap2.

But having said all that my expectations were way too high for this. So if you keep your expectations in check you'll enjoy it. But I was expecting this to be my favourite or 2nd favourite Marvel and superhero movie of all time. It wasn't. I think Joss Whedon is tired, and think it's good that he takes a good rest now.

I hate when that happens.

The problem with Ultron compared with Loki is that Loki had the 1st Thor movie to develop his jealousy of Thor and why he is the way he is. Plus in that movie it was really just about their dynamic. Ultron has to compete for screen time with far too many protagonists to have any hope of given enough background detail and motivation. At least we know Thanos has 2 movies to build him up as a villain plus whatever else he is shown in in the run up to Infinity Wars.

When you think about it, Loki really has been the only decent bad guy in any of the MCU films so far. All Ironman's enemies have been shit. Malekith was shit. Ronan was shit. Winter Soldier was average. Red Skull was shit.

That's why there's the Black Panther movie on the way.

Yeah, Loki is the only one. I liked Ronan, but only because he was bad ass.

You didn't like Red Skull?

You're obviously a racist.

Na. Then again I didn't like The First Avenger at all. So maybe that skewed my view of him as well.
