One scene that was particularly jarring to me, but didn't seem to bother anybody else, is the scene where Red Mist and his gang raid the house of Night Bytch, KA's ally. He outright attempts to rape her, but he can't remain erect, and his erectile dysfunction is supposed to be some kind of hilarious joke. In the middle of an attempted rape scene 😐 . Again, maybe I'm taking things too seriously, but it just seemed like such a massive and uncomfortable tonal shift.

The ****?

so they're not okay with using a rape scene with Kick-Ass's girlfriend from the first movie, but they go with that.

I was practically squirming in my seat when it happened. I mean I understand the KA films are....excessive, but rape? We really had to go there? And simply for a stupid erectile joke? Not cool, filmmakers. Not cool.

Did any kids get killed in it?

Red Mist dies obviously, but besides that nobody under the age of 21 gets killed. The villains even spare a dog's life rather than kill it.

I know the dog your talking about

in the book they behead it.

LOL

I think another thing that drags this film down are the piss-poor, lame, and irrelevant subplots, namely Mindy's "Mean Girls" arc, which concludes with bodily humor that would make Adam Sandler wince.

Massive let down, doesn't hold a candle to the first film, poor plot, poor subplots, acting was lame for many of the characters, most of the fighting was meh and was little more than a 'look at Hit-Girl' show for the pedos. You know who you are.

Yes, Robtard. We know exactly who you are. It must have taken the willpower of God to keep you contained during that cheerleading scene😛

it's hilarious how there is no tension or anything at the end of the film about Kick Ass's friend selling out his father to be killed horribly. I guess saving that fat kid just redeemed everything, right? 😂

I think this is one of those films that suffers from having so many sub-plots that the film can't resolve all of them. Another example is Kick Ass and Night Bytch. Hit Girl is clearly jealous when KA tells her about NB, but this leads to nothing and HG and NB don't share a single line of dialogue.

Really?........another change from the book

his dad gets killed in prison

also what's this about Hit-Girl leaving the city which i've read?

That's what happened. The police do a cape crackdown and he gives himself up as Kickass to protect his son. He goes to jail, and while there, KA's friend tells Red Mist who KA's dad is, and he sends prison thugs to murder him.

At the end, Hit Girl tells Kick Ass that she has to leave NYC since the police will want her because she killed 8 people with a cop's gun (although I thought she had her own arsenal?) and it would be too difficult and emotional to explain to Morris Chestnut. I guess they did it because they realize if they had her go back to being Hit Girl or normal girl again, it would completely FUBAR any character development she had during the film.

This film would have been SOOOOO much better if they didn't waste time with that utterly ridiculous and ultimately disgusting Mean Girls plot, and used that time to develop the new Justice Forever characters and plot. I honestly thought the cheerleading segment was going to be the first 5 minutes of the movie, and was mortified to see it took up about 1/2 if not 2/3 of the film. Although there was one funny scene IMO where the Mean Girls try to initiate her at a sleepover and she gets virtually hypnotized by a Jonas Brothers video, and it's a cult-like "One Of Us. One Of Us." kind of thing. That was amusing IMO, but still not worth the subplot. I guess they added it for Robtard's enjoyment 😉

It was also odd to see Hit Girl letting these children compared to her (she calls herself precocious at various times in the film) bully her at the "party", when not only is she not the kind of person to take crap, but could easily have crippled every single one of them. But she got her vengeance in a far more disgusting manner.....

.

She ends up getting caught by the Police in the book

this is her in Kick-Ass 3
VV

I think they didn't go with that because it would seem like a blatant attempt to get a sequel, which is unassured (and probably not happening) at this point.

Also the the way people have describe the whole "Mean Girls" part on here, Seemed to have done it better with the book.

Was that sub-plot in the book as well?

Yes it was

not sure how it went for the movie, But its all about Mindy trying to fit in and be normal then you have a bunch of girls picking on her.

Same as the film. It was really unnecessary though. The story arc ended with HG hitting them with some kind of bodily-fluid-loosener, causing them to puke and shit all over the place. Is that what happened in the book too?

Was the comic book well received?

Sorry it wasn't in the Kick-Ass 2 comic...my bad

it was in the Hit-Girl comic that they did it was suppose to fill in gaps between the two books

With the comic she ended up scaring the main leader of the girl group (Debbie) by dangling her off the school roof in an attempt to make Debbie her best friend

Was the comic book well received?

It was mixed, pretty much like the first one.

It's still not due out in a couple of days so I can't give my opinion.
However Chris Mintz says in an interview that that scene wasn't meant to portray any sense of humour. He says that although he plays an evil character, the scene is meant to convey that he truly wasn't "bad at heart". The fact that he couldn't get an erection to commit the rape was meant to show that even he knew that was "crossing the line".

😂 What a load of shit after the fact. His character has a man beheaded, yet that wasn't "crossing the line". What a worm.
