However Chris Mintz says in an interview that that scene wasn't meant to portray any sense of humour. He says that although he plays an evil character, the scene is meant to convey that he truly wasn't "bad at heart". The fact that he couldn't get an erection to commit the rape was meant to show that even he knew that was "crossing the line".
😆 Just as Rob said, what a load of absolute horseshit. That scene was clearly played for laughs, and they didn't imply of any of that "crossing the line" crap at any point. He tried to outright rape her, got a limp dick for laughs, and instead had her beaten to the point of hospitalization. At no point does Red Mist imply he has any sort of conscience, morality, or regret during the act. Matter of fact, it was proof of his loss of morality, considering how he was influenced by his uncle killing John Leguizamo.
So yea, Chris Mintz is trying to cover his tracks with a bold-faced lie. Even though Mintz is of no fault. The dumbass writers and directors who wrote that stupid scene into the film are to blame. Some things need to be left in the comics... 😬

Tell that to Watchmen fanboys....or comic fanboys in general.
But that whole ordeal was pretty bad. As for the movie itself, though I don't hate it like everyone else on this thread appears to be doing I still felt that the film left a lot to be desired IMO. Still pretty fun film and stuff.

The movie's due out in 2 days time...so as I said, I can't & don't have an opinion of the scene.
The article I read was Mintz justifying not raping.
Yeah it's funny now that he doesn't mention beating her up afterwards!
I saw it lastnight & thoroughly enjoyed the movie for what it was...a decent sequel.
I don't think the rape scene was as bad or tasteless as some commented...the fact that Mother F was always trying to live up to his father's reputation & failed miserably was the main focal point of the rape scene...a boy trying to be a man & failing. The audience laughed at Mother F furiously masturbating & even Night ***** made a belittling comment at Mother's inadequacy.
The entire film was based on no one taking Mother F seriously.
I also didn't see the big deal about Mindy & The Mean Girls. That sub-plot didn't dominate the entire story & held true to what a 15 yr old girl would endure trying to fit in school & the cool crowd.
I liked the fact that she announced that she was proud to be a superhero rather than a stuck-up rich girl & later in the film, the cops exposing her real identity would've shattered the rich girls' mentality.
2 highlights for me was the lawn-mower scene with the cops & HitGirl's fight with Mother Russia.
