She does have some good points and is arguably justified in being mad, but its just another hour at the Laurel pity-party. She's been bitchy and unbalanced all season and its really annoying.
And anyway, screw her. Family is family, she should be happy that her sister isn't ****ing dead.

Agree about Laurel (needless to say), but don't have a problem with the whole Moira running for mayor thing. If nothing else Blood needed some kind of competition and it seems Slade will finally be getting personally involved in something to do with Starling City next, so... yeah.
Episode could've used more Roy though perhaps. Seemed odd not to have him in this one at all with how the one before it ended.
I enjoyed an episode this season that I think didn't have Laurel in it...can't remember which episode it was but she was absent from it and I was soooo happy...and then the next episode she was back. I really wish someone would make a petition to have her removed from the show or something, have her killed off or replace by an actress who isn't...ya know...annoying.
Well, this episode wasn't as good as the previous ones and it made Felicity seem like a douche. Why did it have to be her to let Ollie in on his mom's secret? Why did Ollie get so upset with his mom if he already knew of her dirty laundry and the various reasons behind it? And I didn't know Ra's Al Ghoul had another daughter. I only knew about Talia. Was this written specifically for the show?
However, I don't have an issue with Moira running for mayor either. As it was already pointed out, Sebastian needed to have at least ONE opponent and they have to do SOMETHING with Mrs. Queen. Plus, I think it'll let us see just how capable the woman is when she's not under someone's control.
And Laurel...yea. Maybe its a combination of mediocre acting and bad writing and that's why the character is annoying. However, I'm more inclined to blame the actress seeing as she was just as mediocre on Supernatural when Katie Cassidy was the first "Ruby."
Some people have pointed out how hypocritical and self-righteous it is for Olly to get this upset about Moira's secret considering a) His own secret and lies and b) he agrees that Thea shouldn't know. So wtf is he pissed about? That she slept with Malcom? He already knew that. That she lied? He already knows she's duplicitous and he has no legs to stand on considering his own lies. That she didn't tell him specifically? Thats bullshit. 😬
Ra's has always had at least 2 daughters in the comics iirc. This chick came from there.
I think Laurel is supposed to be annoying. She's in a downwards spiral and is lashing out at everyone around her in pain and fueled by alcohol and drugs. Its not bad writing, in fact I've seen people say that shes behaving exactly like people do when they're in this situation. Based on their personal experience.

Laurel was always annoying to me. Even in Season 1. Maybe its just because I don't care for the actress. And I WILL say that I'm not familiar with how people with drug or alcohol addictions act. They seem to be portraying it accurately enough, though. But like I said, maybe its just my distaste for her character. I'm just not invested with Laurel.
And Olli is COMPLETELY self-righteous. No question about it.

Ollie's overreacting because he's just pissed that Thea is Malcom Merlin's daughter. There's no real logic behind it, except that he's also probably fed up of his Mum's secrets, and double nature. And let's face it, his own secrets and double nature is for a good cause. His Mum's is mostly for her own interests. So there is a clear difference there.
