So according to the Weekly Planet podcsat (the podcast for ComicBookMovies.com) there are talks about another spinoff that won't be solely Atom. Now there have been lots of talks about spinoffs, so this isn't exactly news. What was interesting wasn't just that it was going to be a team show (as in multiple heroes, not just a hero and their backup team), but that it will apparently have Sara Lance Black Canary back. So apparently, like Oliver, she just doesn't stay dead. I do wonder how the hell they are going to pull that one off though. She is stone cold, buried underneath the ground. I suppose a distraught Nissa, after finding out that Ra's has someone else in mind to be his heir, could steal her body and use the Pits to resurrect her, but it seems a bit silly, even for a comic book TV show.
Edit: Here is one article talking about it: http://www.mtv.com/news/2091680/arrow-the-flash-spinoff/

I guess what bugs me is that her death is a key part of the Arrow storyline. Hell, the whole reason Ollie and Thea are involved with the League now is because of that, Laurel's motivation for fighting etc. A lot of what has happened loses its impact if the writers are like, "Oh wait, never mind. She's alive... again."
Screw it... just bring back more Deathstroke and Deadshot.
Tonight's episode was, for me, one of the better episodes but I am still feeling underwhelmed. Its a great show and I still love it but The Flash has been out preforming it in a really big way imo. I mean
Spoiler:. Heck when Grodd was actually shown....that was bigger then any one thing on Arrow this season.
When Wells admitted he is Eobard Thawne it was so much bigger then anything Arrow has done and there was strong speculation about that already.
Also I was a little let down with Murmur. I know he wasn't a huge Flash villain but he seemed to be too much of a common criminal rather then a known rogue.
At this point I'm finding it hard not to be constantly frustrated with everyone just passively accepting Malcolm's presence. When Oliver said "theres nowhere else for him to go" I just shouted "Um, ****ing prison maybe!?" Or hand him over to ARGUS for a sweet new bomb collar. Or just stick him on the damn island. Or anything other than letting the unrepentant mass murderer chill out on the couch. When Lance is ripping into him later for keeping secrets and Ollie's making the,"Oh shit, I am a total dick!" face I couldn't help but think, "Also you're hiding the fact the city's worst murderer is alive and living in your house!" There is zero reason to accept his presence willingly among them now, especially now that the already incredibly thin excuse of, "Ra's will kill Thea if we give up Merlyn!" has been removed (even Nyssa's reaction to Thea was basically,"Why the **** would we kill you? You're clearly not guilty"😉. The show keeps bending over to let him be there and I can't ignore that its just because they want him on the show. But it's straining credibility and there are much better ways to keep him in there.
Also I'm annoyed Oliver
Spoiler:
turned down the deal. Since there was literally no downsides and only pluses. Felicity also could have mentioned to him "oh yeah Ray is actually gonna step in for you in a few weeks anyway so it would be totally cool for you to leave, lol!"
I guess maybe its also that I'm getting tired of the show being an angst-fest and crafting poorly-thought out, forced moral dilemma's as opposed to Flash just kicking ass with it's straight-forward heroics.
Definitely understandable... I saw
Spoiler:
Oliver turning down the deal coming initially though, and then that things would be set in motion to make him begin reconsidering. Just didn't expect Ra's to go to the lengths that he did like framing the Arrow at the end of the episode. lol
Yeah, I've felt for awhile now that some of the show's formula should change far as the angst/drama, even if it is typical CW.
