Well Nyssa did train her personally some before that, so I guess it helped. She had been trying to hone her vigilante/fighting skills for awhile (starting with the training lessons with Ted), but yeah. I suppose going from that to being able to manhandle some League members is kind of stretching it.
Regardless, do like how she does the canary scream/shriek now unlike Sara. 👆

Does it bother anyone else that Laurel can take on multiple league assassins at once, when like a month ago she could barely fight random thugs?
it had to have been during the time he was sent to kill Talia in Starling... either before he tried, or after he jumped off the roof after he failed to kill her. He was away from Maseo and crew for a good amount of time before heading back to Ra's. According to google, Starling is 600 miles from Central City... i'd have to watch the episode again to see if Oliver was alone for more than 20 hours or so.
