The slim came out in 2010, I believe. And it's the last edition that the 360's come out with, it's the current xbox 360, and there've been rrod issues with those models.

If you were you'd know that mostly the only time any pc component would fail is whenever someone would ignorantly or knowingly push those parts beyond their limits with overclocking. Rarely, hardly, to practically never, do components just go out on their own.

pc parts fail plenty, even without overclocking. if they didn't, the pc repair business wouldn't be so lucrative.
PC's have a higher risk than consoles; they just have higher rewards too.
