It only happen with the 360 anyways

wonder if history will repeat itself with the new Xbox.

The ps3 had the yellow light of death.

But as far as it reoccurring with the new gen, with the initial models, I wouldn't be surprised.

And the rrod and ylod were never really fully fixed. I've heard of xbox slims red ringing.

Two things to note: Red-ringing was a major problem early in the 360's life, and it's only been recently that the console has shown its age (try playing Halo 4 on Shatter with four screens--forget about it)

The slim came out in 2010, I believe. And it's the last edition that the 360's come out with, it's the current xbox 360, and there've been rrod issues with those models.

The XBOX One needs an Internet connection. It doesn't need uninterrupted Internet connection.

As well, I don't understand why people ***** about MS about their supposedly shitty Internet connection when in fact, they should be bitching to their ISP who is giving them that shitty connection.

Yeah. If I turn to the PC, it will be because Sony pulls the same shit at E3 that Microsoft pulled on Tuesday.

True. I'm not doubting it but you can't say that PC gaming is perfect. It is not perfect. It's far from perfect. Fist mentions 360 RRoD but fails to mention that multiple components can fail in a PC. Especially if you get less than quality parts. He also mentions that you need to take care of your PC....there is a lot pro and cons for both consoles and PC's.

They both do different things and it's worth having both.

No one said that PC gaming is perfect, Smas. Just superior but I wanted to ask you. Are you an avid pc gamer? If you were you'd know that mostly the only time any pc component would fail is whenever someone would ignorantly or knowingly push those parts beyond their limits with overclocking. Rarely, hardly, to practically never, do components just go out on their own.

You implied that the Red Ring of Death was a result of the Console being too old, or at least that seemed to be where you were going. I was correcting that stance, if that's indeed where you were going.

Where was the correction? You wrote that the "360 red ringing was an issue early in the 360's life." I never argued that, you did. You were the one that wrote that the 360 "recently shown its age" Read your comment.

And the slim's 3 years old and still young for it's age. And it still bricks.

pc parts fail plenty, even without overclocking. if they didn't, the pc repair business wouldn't be so lucrative.

PC's have a higher risk than consoles; they just have higher rewards too.

Everything bricks. Computers, consoles, tablets, smartphones and handheld devices.

Excellent

Only thing that sucks with PC is DRM....that shit needs to go away.

One of the main issues with console gaming is that the graphical leap of the next-gen consoles will NOT be that much better than this gen's consoles.

The software development for AI and graphics has slowed down to a snail's pace.
And I don't see that changing anytime soon.

File this one very firmly in the “some guy on the Internet said” category, but this weekend’s hot gossip is that Sony is going to bin plans for a used games DRM system following the Internet’s unhappy reaction to news of a similar scheme for the Xbox One.

The not so farfetched suggestion that Sony might employ a similar system to that announced for the Xbox One arose from a comment made by Geoff Keighley in an episode of Bonus Round, in which he said he had heard that Sony might pursue the same course.

Shortly thereafter, famousmortimer, NeoGAF poster whose Sony predictions have in the past been perfectly correct, said Keighley’s comment is accurate but out of date.

“The gist of it is that Sony is listening to the backlash that Microsoft is getting and they are basing decisions off of this,” they explained in another post.

“I can say, for sure, that the past week’s PR nightmare for MS has not been lost on Sony and they, in fact, do have a used game ‘solution’ working and have been going back and forth for months on whether to use it. This past week is pushing them strongly into ‘Yeah, let’s not use that.’”

Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida, in particular, is very open to feedback, the poster added.

Thanks, Gematsu.

Awesome

With any luck, the One will be MS's last console.

Umm, if this is true...

http://kotaku.com/microsoft-thinking-about-giving-you-achievements-for-wa-509961989

Stupid rumours. Microsoft need to put this shit to bed.

LoL What the ****

Well I could have used an achievement unlocked popup when i finished watching Supernatural, Bleach, Naruto and Breaking Bad.

Even if MS fixes all this at E3, the damage will have already been done.

The comments from that article are funny.

Why does it matter if you can watch cable through your XBOX? Why is such a big deal?
