If the license expires, you still have the ability to download your purchased game, just not purchase it....
Thing is: how long are those servers the game is stored in going to be available?. They cost money. Hence my other point: Streaming games you already own for free wouldn't be business since they wont be getting a dime out of that. That's why they flat out said "No" to just sticking a disc in the PS4 to unlock a streaming game. Also there's the current Bane of the industry: Used games.
Nintendo's been selling you the same old games, often with no upgrade whatsoever, for a long time. Sony took that concept and at least added HD upgrades. Why would they do things differently now?.
It sucks, but it's how things are. At least with digital games there's a valid reason to allow you to play those for free, granted you pay for a subscription.
When you buy digital you're just acquiring a license, effectively "renting" rather than "buying", and said license is limited and bound to only a PS3 or Vita, not any other platform, as it clearly states when "buying" the game.
And that's how I see and hope this works: renting the games to you, rather than selling them.
If they're gonna offer things to "buy": then they better let you access it no matter your subscription status. That's another MS thing that thank god was scrapped... though momentarily.
Almost makes me wish I did get an Xbone so I can change my gamertag to Xbox Go Home.

Things are really not looking good for Nintendo.
If you're a YouTuber, Microsoft will pay you money if you give their Xbone positive feedback in your videos.
Whatever bit of faith I had left in the Xbox, it's gone now. Hit in the face with a shovel, lit on fire and pissed on.

This is no different than paying for a commercial.
They're trying to bribe everyday, internet dwelling folk (no more different than you or me) who have others looking up to them.
Of all the things Microsoft can try to do to counter Sony, they want to give us money. Are they even trying anymore?
According to your article and within the article, the email about people getting paid to mention the XBOX One, it states.
1. Incorporate at least 30 seconds of video of any XBOX One game
2. Mention that you playing on the XBOX One.
3. Tag your video with the tag.
This isn't a bribe. It's marketing at play. It's no different than an athlete promoting Nike by wearing shoes. The article clearly states this isn't new.
It's ethical wrong for the YouTube user to promote the Xbox One without mentioning that they have been paid by MS to use the Xbox One.

Some Athlete promoting Nike has obviously been paid by Nike to do so, as an Endorsement deal has been publicly signed.
In this case, besides stating that nothing bad must be said about the Xbone, it also states that the Endorsement deal must not be known to the public. Something that goes against the FTC Guidelines
http://www.ftc.gov/sites/default/files/attachments/press-releases/ftc-publishes-final-guides-governing-endorsements-testimonials/091005revisedendorsementguides.pdf
So not only it is Ethically wrong, it may also be Lawfully wrong

heehehehe
the whole used games thing may be getting old, but the responses about "what games are you most excited to play" are great
😄
EDIT: Holy shit, that thing was old, didn't notice. Used games jokes are twice as funny now, in retrospect 😂

Where in the article Nemesis provided that states that endorsement deal must not be known? As well, where in that document states that this goes against FTC Guidelines? And what happens if the person is a different country?
It says right there in the highlighted link you can see in the article that says the promotion may violate the FTC's guidelines but just in case, here.

I didn't read that before, but yeah, that one explains why it goes against the FTC guidelines. That blogger example couldn't be any clearer

I got it off NeoGaf were this whole thing originated (to my knowledge). At first it was only the guidelines that made noise, than came the "legal" aspect of the email were it clearly states the "endorsement" secrecy among other things (such as length of video etc).
I don't know about people or rules in different countries, but I reckon this wouldn't fly well over Europe, as they are far more protective of customers rights and fair commerce.
Honestly, I don't see nothing wrong with introducing a segment in any video media endorse by any company, as long as "this segment was endorsed by" is presented. It's just marketing. But trying to get people to sell out for a few dollars by lying to their followers, that's just low and reeks of desperation, regardless of legal status
now, excuse me while I go to YT to unsubscribe to Machinima 😄
This video sums it up very well, how wrong the whole thing is, if you have the time to watch it
If it's unlawful then it's bullshit.
Don't get me wrong that I think MS is doing something good, I just think that everybody else does it but because it's MS people get all bent out of shape about it.
I also think it's stupid for MS to do this. It doesn't accomplish anything. Just creates more headaches.
The thing is that Xbox One is a good console. I have no problems with it. It's quiet, it runs fast, XBOX Live is working perfectly and there is some great games for it. As well, unlike the PS4 library, there is a few games I'm really looking forward too. MS should stand by it's console.

I couldn't agree more.
Although, with the way the xbox would have been made there was a possibility to get new games for $6(per person across 10 accounts.). I personally would have been happy about that lol. Anyways Yeah its a solid system and MS should be happy with it. I don't see why people care so much about the whole youtube thing honestly.
