Current Gen Console Discussions (PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch (Pro?) OFFICIAL THREAD

I would agree. If you wanted to play MP then not having it working can be quite frustrating.

Eventually it will all be fixed but as a whole, it's a very good collection. Having all maps from each game for MP is a feat. As well, considering it's a collection, it does an extremely good job in creating excitement from the franchise.

It made me interested in Halo 5. I never really liked the series but after playing the first 3, it's funny that an older franchise like Halo could feel fresh and new because it's almost completely opposite than the current FPS franchises.

Maybe Valve is smart in releasing Half Life 3 (if ever released) so it hits the market when it's saturated with "follow me marker" CoD clones.

Captain's Log: Day 4 since the great xmas logging. PSN is still down. All faith in Sony lost. We survive by doing the best and most with what we have. That means Netflix and offline games. The tragedy. I fear people in the ship will begin rioting and start acts of cannibalism.

Why has God forsaken us?

Sony really shit the bed, here. Need to get themselves sorted out. It's embarrassing to be down for essentially 3 days right at the christmas peak.

What is funny is that people said the same thing when the network was down for months and you had to redo passwords/stolen information.

And yet, people treated them like messiahs when PS4 was announced....oh how gamers lose their memories and fast!

(I know it was sarcasm....the point was a generalization not directed)

Offline games....shocking, What will we do.

Agreed. Especially when your direct competition was able to recover from the same incident in one single day.

True, but then again their opposition was making an ass of themselves and imposing things gamers did not agree on. Sony was really smart and clever during that E3 by capitalizing on MS's mistake and hearing their customers/future customers concerns. A move that has put them on top for the past year and a half.

On other news I am so drooling over how gorgeous Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary looks running on 1080p at 60 FPS. Hell I'm more impressed by it than the actual Xbone remake in Halo 2 A.

343 really outdid themselves. The collection has issues, but honestly I understand them. It can't be easy to code all of those games, series and documentaries, including the beta into one single release.

They are getting a lot of flak, but I'd like to see another developer perform better than them considering the quantity and quality of the content. Also how they have responded to the fans and work the extra mile to make things right.

These past few days of people living without online gaming be it PSN or Live is how I live my everyday life. No such thing as internet fast enough to support online gaming here, so I've seensome people really lose their shit these past few days and I'm just like: It's not so bad. I get so much done.

Apparently playing as far as 9 games (on disc) on my PS4 will take up huge amounts of hard drive space due to each game's application nearly 50GB each and make that 500GB storage space look less thrilling. Deleting a game's application isn't a big deal right? I can just remove that, replace it and delete the new one if I want to play the other game correct?

I was impressed by the Halo 2 remake especially the gorgeous cinematic's. It got me so much involved in the story because they are fantastic. When I started Halo 3, it was very disappointing seeing the cutscene's that were not redone. I'm looking forward to playing Halo 4 because of that reason.

I will be very interested if ODST is just getting a slight upgrade or a full reworking. I was under the impression that it was just getting a resolution update. I'm happy I'm getting it for free!

If the PS4 is like the Xbox One then I'm guessing deleting it will only delete the game data and not your saved games/profile shit. As well, it's probably synced up to you PSN profile. But I'm not sure.

Nintendo did that? I ignored they were attacked.

Unless you are entertaining the notion of Xbone being capable of competing the PS4 in any front. If so, how very american of you.

This has nothing to do with the console itself but their respective networks. Clearly MS has a much better network than Sony. You can't really argue that.

I agree that MS's experience with his network shows, that's one of the reasons I was really rooting for them when they announced so many online features prior to the Xbone's launch.

Xbox One has better games. Sony has better content and Graphics for the games they DO have, though.

Having all the Halo's together at once is practically orgasmic.

So PSN is down again...

I was able to download a few games during the shutdown.

I don't understand how it can be down at all. I'm really confused. 😬

The Xbone's only advantage against the PS4 is its online network infrastructure.
Understanble since it's Micro$oft.

By the end of this gen, Sony will again have the better games library, like all their previous PS consoles did.

Which at this point is a "my sh_t is shinnier than yours" argument.

I'll gladly judge both consoles on their game library when they get a proper library.
