Which doesn't fit with the white supremacists' earlier performance against Declan and his gang. Declan's guys saw them coming (probably from a mile off), they pretty much had a fortress with walls and towers and Uncle Jack's guys wiped them out in seconds. Now you're telling me that with the same guns and in about the same amount of time they can't kill two more exposed, lesser armed men at a fraction of the distance?

Don't get me wrong, it was an awesome episode, but that scene makes no sense.

I agree, that was ridiculous, and sort of took me out of taking it seriously.

The DEA has used fake death photos in real life. I'm guessing that's where they got the idea from. They used ground beef to make it look like one of their undercover agents blew someone's brains out.

What death threats did he give?

Only thing he did that was probably illegal was not informing the DEA, idk how their bureaucracy works.

In any case, Hank's career is over if he survives and manages to nab Walt (which he almost certainly won't)

He'll make good money on the tv and talk circuit.

The thing is that Declan and his gang were disposable characters whose deaths were necessary to forward the plot. Also, the way Lydia acted throughout that scene, it was heavily implied to be a surprise/ambush attack in between a running cook.

Then there's also the fact that Declan's soldiers were in all likelihood not as well trained and fight-oriented as Hank and Gomie are. Or the fact that the Hank/Gomie scene was shot as an episode cliffhanger, while the Declan scene was not.

I couldn't believe that shoot out, either.. at least gomie was a goner for sure.. he was so exposed prior to the first shot that it's improbable for him to take cover without taking a hit.. unless everybody was aiming for hank and only hank..

My theory on the next episodes opening scene...

Spoiler:
I think Gomie is either a dead-man or wounded, hank was right at the rear of the car & may hold Walt at gunpoint get him in a car and possibly drive off with the gang giving chase... Jessie's time has come I fear..
It was an Awesome episode though!! 😄

I'm thinking Hank dies actually. And that's why Walt is "free" and buying an assault rifle in the future scenes. So that he can get revenge on these guys.

I think Hank and Gomez die, because theres basically no way they can get out of there and its too unbelievable for them to so narrative law demands it. I can stomach all those bullets not hitting them if they die anyway and they just wanted a cheap cliffhanger but if they actually get through this them its completely narrative-breaking. Jesse will though, since we already saw him open the car door in preparation for making a getaway.

There's three episodes left, I doubt Walt's main adversary is going to be biting the dust so soon. Hank and Gomez will probably end up injured, out of ammo, and captured in some manner. The neo-Nazis will want to kill them and Walt will have to intervene in some way.

Or seeing how much Walt cares for them maybe they capture them and use them as bargaining chips so Walt starts cooking.

maybe Walt is on Hanks side in the future....... the shows tones are too dark though..

Wow! What an episode! From start to finish it was epic!

That was the best piece of television I've ever seen. Unbelievable.

Holy shit...that's all I can say.

It's up there, The Wire's best is still better though.

Anyway, Walt needs to die.

Matt Damon's brother is a confirmed sociopath irl.

I'd go some on that.

Bordering on shock right now.
Even anticipating a lot of what occurred, actually seeing it play out and going down was some cold, savage shit.

Looking like the Whites are gonna be getting a visit judging by Jesse apparently giving up the deets to the Aryans..

Agreed.

Thank goodness Hank is gone. At least he has his minerals 😆 Now if only Walt sent Jesse on that Belize trip when he had the chance.

You know, if Walt was actually ruthless, he would have a lot less problems right now. It would actually benefit him to break bad 🙂

Best way to summarize this episode: GOD f*cking DAMN!!!

Edit: @Lestov16: Dude, spoiler tags.
