I would also mention that Traya said that he may rival some of the ancient Sith(yet we don't know about what Sith she refers,or if she speaks about Nihilus'Hunger or knowledge,or galactic conquest)

Vitiate is much older than Nihilus, and was more powerful than any of the Ancient Sith that Traya spoke so highly of.

I consider Visas and Tobin less reliable sources than Traya, much like I'd consider Khem Val a less reliable source on Tulak Hord than someone like Aloysius Kallig.

Why would you consider them less reliable sources,since they experienced face to face Nihilus' Hunger!?

Note: Chris had no idea that TOR will be written and Vitiate will appear... Kreia,through your journey to Korriban and on Dantooine,she says Nihilus may rival the ancient Sith,but she doesn't specify if it is about power,knowledge or galactic conquest...

Vitiate may have surpassed the other Sith in knowledge,but power or skills, I don't think so... Kreia also says that Tulak was the greatest lightsaber duelist of the Sith,when many other elite Sith BladeMasters still lived. When she mentioned the Ancient Sith,she wasn't refering to Vitiate(as for her,he was unknown. However we know that Vitiate is not a good duelist) She may refered about Marka Ragnos or Naga Sadow...

1.Tulak Hord:-He is renowned for his legendary dueling abilities. Khem Val revealed to Darth Nox that Hord single-handedly broke the sieges laid by Jedi to Imperial strongholds in the Yn and Chabosh. Over a thousand Jedi perished in these battles.

He also knew how to keep the essence of his body alive, 5000 years after his death, and was proficient in the use of Sith magic.

Ragnos also owned a pair of dark gauntlets which increased his skill with a melee weapon or a lightsaber.

Marka Ragnos had a mystical Scepter, which had the ability to siphon and store dark side energy, and it could also release the power of the Force on ordinary beings to make them Force-sensitive.
