Don't know where he's getting 3 tons from. a 38 acp pistol cartridge is only firing at 338 ft·lbf (458 J) at 115 grains..... I really don't see where he's getting this tonnage level stopping power.
Hell a 9x19 parabellum at 115.0 grains for JHP +P+ traveling at 1,430 ft/s only comes in at around 704 J or 519 ft·lbf
If he stopped a rifle cartridge like a 7.62x51mm nato round I'd be significantly more impressed. That stands in at 174 grains for a M118 Long Range BTHP traveling at 2,600 ft/s comes in at 3,526 J or 2,601 ft·lbf. That comes in at a 600+ lbs over a ton. Mind you thats coming off of a 24 inch barrel if I did my math right and there's a 20 ft/s drop in velocity per inch missing.
Ozzy is in no way demonstrating multi ton strength. If it was a bare handed catch what he is in fact demonstrating is superhuman durability to piercing.
