If she's using a sword that can cleave electrons off atoms, it doesn't much matter. He'd need to avoid getting cut by those at all costs.

Flechettes fired from needleguns should have around bullet velocity at close range.. The entire point of the firearm is the high rate of fire and reduced recoil

I'd say that's quite a bit higher. Seeing as flechettes don't just get fired one by one (especially not that one), and he's not just dodging them, he's knocking them out of the way.

And does someone else need to do it?

Sounds like a sketchy tactic either way.. Even when an Op says a character can bring in tech they'd normally have access to outside of their solo comics,, it's not like Batman could just have Martian Manhunter fire off the Leagues laser, or use the League teleporter for a BFR.
