He'll be this movie's Ben Kenobi, I hope.

I was hoping he'd play more of a hybrid of Obi Wan and Yoda...but without the silly childish antics of Yoda.

yes but i dont suspect he'll die ep7. they'll save that for the tragic 2rd act in my opinion. i suspect even han/leia/chewie will be in the action as well because millenium falcon. i think everyone can fit nicely if its done right.

I'd be fine with that. That said, I liked Yoda's antics in ESB.

I was talking about being a wise old mentor. I don't expect him to die in ep 7.

however you cant help but suspet that someone will die in the first ep. its tradition. i think perhaps...lando?

oh and no need to worry about him being a mystic old jedi hermit character. he's pretty much typecast. even he knows it

“I’m assuming, because I haven’t talked to the writers, that these movies would be about our offspring – like my character would be sort of in the Obi-Wan range, an influential character. … When I found out that ultimate good news/bad news joke – the good news is there’s a real attractive, hot girl in the universe; the bad news is she’s your sister – I thought, ‘Well, I’m going to wind up like Sir Alec. I’m going to be a lonely old hermit living out in some kind of desert igloo with a couple of robots.’

yeah, they'd be smart to kill the one black guy from the original trilogy 😂

That's good then.

oh they can always drop a new token

Older and wiser Jedi, sounds like the only part fitting the character of Luke.

And most powerful. He'll basically be Yoda in status akin to the Prequels. But Old Ben in his mentor role akin to ANH.

Well... the thing is, Luke could be a totally different Jedi. He has no burden from the Jedi Council history, the huge organization with it's traditions and endless debates. He is a new kind of Jedi, prolly very in tune with the Force. Well, he could be.

I'm hoping they use this opportunity to introduce alcoholism to Star Wars. Make Luke or Han a secret addict. Drama, biches.

Spice would be more fitting, I think.

Haha... I was thinking the same thing. 😂

The EU is doomed. Possibly everything created after ROTJ will be invalidated.

Hopefully.

Why is it doomed? Even if the films go their own way and don't follow set EU stories, the EU can remain a separate universe and continue doing its own thing.
