Thanos vs Thor (angry)

Tbh, we also don't know if the soul drain could even apply to Thanos.

I, personally, don't think that Thor could steal Thanos' soul and rob him of his immortal life force, not considering Thanos' connection to Death itself.

Speculation...

We know for a fact that Thor can take souls...we dont know if Thanos is immune to having his soul taken.

Until proven otherwise, there is nothing to suggest that this attack would fail against Thanos...

A CIS off Thor wouldnt care about Soul Suck being forbidden...

Also, I dont know about Thor being "helpless" while using that power; Mjolnir was in his hands against his chest...all Thor had to do was will the Soul Suck to happen.

I see Thanos as the one having no defense against this attack...

cis off doesn't turn him into a douchebag who disobeys asgard lol. Matt Fraction does that.

He's a few feet from a guy very much capable of hurting him. It's an option I personally wouldn't take. I'd stay in the air and use attacks that guarantee a victory instead of a risky attack like that.

No, we know that Thor can steal another immortal Asgardian's life force against their will, which isn't the same as taking Thanos' life force which is fortified by Death and by extension, more "immortal" than Loki is.

That would be applying a no limit's fallacy on Thor.

well said Jake. I've always said he has taken asgardian souls and its speculation he could Thanos.

Iirc its not exactly a quick attack that Thanos couldn't defend against.

Thor hits Thanos 3 times with no effect then he gets floored....Imo.

I call BS, Thor can only get three hits in if Thanos lets him 😈

Another gem from carver.

Lol this is great.

This should ram the point home one last time. Neither Thor, nor Superman, nor Hulk nor any elite hero has a chance against Thanos.

He possibly needed a neck massage that's why he let Thor hit him....

CIS is off for Thor. He is angry and willing to do anything to get rid of Thanos.

Thanos knows Thor is bringing everything to the table but is unable to mentally prep because Thor is standing right in front of him with a charging/glowing hammer. Thor is fighting smart.

Who wins?

Thor dies in a matter of minutes (seconds if Thanos wants to be quick about it).

After Infinity #6, it's pretty clear that at this point, Thor is incapable of beating Thanos straight up with his usual tactics. Outside of a God Blast, energy absorption/redirection combo etc. not sure what he can do.

There we go.

I hardly think my response was unreasonable. Thanos is clearly above Heralds but he's not Galactus.

He can take a beating. That's about it.

Thor was dismissed with predictable ease.

The only surprise was that Thanos took so much damage from the amped-up voice attack of Black Bolt. Maximus must have made one hell of a bomb.
