Oh. Insurrection was part of the decline, sure, but I think it was still "okay" enough to get by. Nemesis is what killed it, imo.

i remember walking out from insurrection trying to recall anything redeeming about it...15 years later i'm still struggling.

Best scene in the movie.

I liked a lot of the action scenes, as I thought they were well done.

Riker saying "bastards" was always nice, as people so rarely swear in Star Trek. Plus, Riker was a total boss when he was commanding the ship.

Data had some funny lines.

I'm not going to pretend it was great, but it was no worse than Search for Spock or Final Frontier.

I liked Search for Spock as cheesy as it was. Christopher Lloyd as a Klingon was lolz.

Same. I loved them stealing the Enterprise too; that was a really nicely done scene.

I don't think it's a terrible movie; just that it's still better than Nemesis or Final Frontier.

Spoiler:
khan's accent

👇

get mad.

He was speaking in his natural voice which I had no problem at all

I wonder how Benedict Cumberbatch's voice will sound as Smaug the dragon.

I can't wait to see the epic scene of Bilbo & Smaug's conversation.

Same, it also fit, Kahn being from India and having a British english accent is plausible.

probably awesome. too bad he was too lazy to learn a mexican accent. but i suppose a middle-earth dragon would have a british accent.

-Lens flare was overly annoying at times. I understand it's JJ's trademark, but some scenes were WTF stupidly flared.

It honestly didn't bother me....Whedon used it a lot in FireFly & it just gave space action scenes a slightly "grittier edge".

I mean as far as trademarks go, it's better than the Matrix's "bullet time" done to death.

FYI it's "Wrath" not "Wraith". Full Movie Title: "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan". And you do not have to be an action star to workout. Working out is for everyone! 😄

Yeah I had the word "Wrath" in mind but I kept thinking of The Wraith in StarGate...

Why does he need a Mexican accent?........just because the original Khan had one whoopti doo.

Ricardo Montalban had a Mexican accent because he was Mexican... I've never seen any Star Trek episode in my life, but i imagine his accent had nothing to do with the character and everything thing to do with him being a Mexican irl.

It's not the fact that he should have an accent. It's the fact that he did Originally, and so changing that is weird. How the heck could the timeline have changed to effect Khan's accent.

And aside from the accent, the original had more charm.

That's my only gripe with Khan. But still Benedict's performance was awesome.

I loved the whole story from Star Trek's 2-4. And I guess 6 finished that story. Those were the days of great Trek movies.

But we have them again now 🙂

The only Next Gen film I liked was First Contact. That film was bad ass. But the rest were awful. They really ruined Trek on the big screen Imo.

The Next Gen Tv series was 1000 times better than the crap they gave us on the big screen (minus FC).
