DD never had the ability to evolve on the fly until after his death against Superman. He had to die and come back with immunity.

Oh, and he was amped as well when he took on the thousands of GLs.

how was he amped?

He had a GL ring. And his will to kill was pretty absolute.

Wasn't Bloodwynde Martian Manhunter...

Just further proof that h1a8 gets his "knowledge" from respect threads/wiki and not from reading comics.

I haven't read the comics after DOS. But we settled the discussion of Bloodwynd already. Why bring this up? This is just trolling and derailing the thread, especially when we are having a decent and civilized debate going on. Either debate or ignore dude. Stop derailing the thread with flaming posts.

He did? How did he get the ring? Was he intelligent enough to put it on? Which comic was this? I have the hunter prey series , OWAW, doomsday wars, and the death of Superman series.

It was just after that 1st GL trapped him (there was only one at the time). He put him in a block, then contacted the Guardians to tell them of this new lifeform. When he did this, his attention wavered, Doomsday broke out and killed him. The ring flew off, and Doomsday caught it and put it on, then used it.

You can see it at the bottom of this scan. The Guardians also confirm that he's using GL energies:

It never ceases to amaze me how the oldest and allegedly most powerful race of beings in the universe are constantly made out to look like cosmic fools.

Johns should have repaired the Guardians' rep big time.

Can you point to the rule that states that I'm not allowed to respond to people?

The gradual turn from emotionless overseers with the greater good always in mind to outright bastard space gnomes was decent enough, imo. It made sense that they'd eventually be pushed to that point again.

But outside of Ganthet, the typical non-amped Guardian comes off as entirely useless.

flaming is against forum rules. It's unclassy, childish, and not cool.

You, DarkOne, Nihilist, and a few others do it often.
Jake and many others don't do such things. It's one thing to not like a poster, it's another to be childish and flame.

Since when is responding to a poster considered flaming?

I don't know, their attitude shift seemed sudden and over the top to me..

A new big picture view doesn't explain why they'd suddenly turn on one of their own, or take such an extreme turn against Kyle Rayner, who's only the savior of the Corps and was going to them for help..

Their change into bastards wasn't a gradual thing, it's more like a switch was flipped, and they become total douches..

I think given the events of SCW, Blackest Night, War of the Green Lanterns, etc have impacted how they see things, namely emotion.

I don't agree with the change, but I can understand why Johns would write them as such.

Responding to a poster with flaming comments in regards to another poster is flaming.

I didn't make any flaiming comments in that post.

Now, are you done trying to derail this thread?
