An idea for "Gun Control".

Gun control is an almost laughable idea. People are the ones who are in need of more control. Not government control or police control, but self control. It's 2013 and a gun, no matter what kind it is is about as non-consequential as arrows when compared to the new and improved ways of killing people. A human that wants to kill has lots of options of how with or without guns. A man skilled with a sword can wreak havoc in a doctors office or day-care center. After he does should we ban sharp objects? Ridiculous, right? People in the younger generations have been denied religious instruction from their main adult interaction, their teachers, and whether you agree or disagree with religious instruction per individual, muzzling adults from even discussing their beliefs is choosing ignorance over awareness. American society is more exposed to fake violence than ever before, and more shielded from religious moral codes than ever before. Things likely won't improve as America becomes even more Godless.

Man in China walked into a school with a knife and started stabbing and slashing; he injured many, none died from their wounds though.

Could be argued that if he had a gun and basic gun knowledge (aim, pull trigger), there would have been a death at least.

similar story occurred in a Vancouver Apartment last night

Wonder if it can be concluded that when people go on murder sprees, the more efficient at killing weapon they're armed with directly correlates with their ability to rack up a higher body-count?

If the Chinese man had been a navy seal he probably could have killed everyone in the class with that same knife or perhaps just blow the school up. My point is that the brain is the real weapon in all these cases. If person desires a massacre they skip guns and start planning for making bombs. A killing spree of a serial killer is potentially more dangerous than that of a crazed gunman. People shouldn't be denied instruction that they may be judged for certain actions even after death. Many people believe this to be true but are now discouraged from sharing that belief with children. I think that the suicides after sandy hook and columbine were attempts to avoid being held responsible. I don't think the shooters believed that they would have a maker to meet after death, do you?

Or if he was not an idiot and was very very mildly familiar with the human body.

LoL, Chinese Navy SEALS. Anyhow.

But a brain connected to a body that's holding a gun in a hand is still deadlier, generally speaking.

😆 That did sound funny huh! But you see what I'm saying though, seriously crazier shit has happened! 😆 I'm thinking that a Guy with some matches and current knowledge of how to use the science of fire can do more damage than one Guy with a gun. I'm not a gun owner myself, I just don't see them as some supreme weapon that a responsible adult can't be trusted with.
