Gun control is an almost laughable idea. People are the ones who are in need of more control. Not government control or police control, but self control. It's 2013 and a gun, no matter what kind it is is about as non-consequential as arrows when compared to the new and improved ways of killing people. A human that wants to kill has lots of options of how with or without guns. A man skilled with a sword can wreak havoc in a doctors office or day-care center. After he does should we ban sharp objects? Ridiculous, right? People in the younger generations have been denied religious instruction from their main adult interaction, their teachers, and whether you agree or disagree with religious instruction per individual, muzzling adults from even discussing their beliefs is choosing ignorance over awareness. American society is more exposed to fake violence than ever before, and more shielded from religious moral codes than ever before. Things likely won't improve as America becomes even more Godless.
Man in China walked into a school with a knife and started stabbing and slashing; he injured many, none died from their wounds though.
Could be argued that if he had a gun and basic gun knowledge (aim, pull trigger), there would have been a death at least.
