The same Gandalf who took on a balrog ran from orcs. My logic is 100 percent sound. We never seen the White version ever show anything near as impressive as the Balrog feat. Gandalf also fights the orcs he doesn't run around letting them hit him either. If he showed 100 percent immunity to their attacks you might have something. He's just more formidable is all.
